I went to go vote this morning

And the lines were loooooooong. BOO. Oh well, looks like I'm getting out of work early to go! Anyone else wake up early to go?

 

Yep, 6:55 at my polling place. Done by 7:20

 

Going this afternoon around 2:00, hopefully my voting place is quiet like last time...

 

I will skip out of work early to do it. since you get paid to go vote.

 

Ya, I went this morning too. In and out in 40 minutes. The whole taking half day off to vote baffles me...

 

I wont be taking a half day. only an hour or so.

 

Mano and I went yesterday... we waited in line for an hour!

If I'm gonna get paid to vote then why not? I get two paid hours off of work to go and vote so I may as well take advantage.

and NO I am not a citizen... I am a legal resident.. I have my green card, SS # and permanent residency etc.... yes I did do it legally nad yet I dont get to vote like all the illegals... screwed up system haha ha

did you guys hear that you can get free coffee at starbucks if you tell them you voted? I heard this but havent verified it.

it also looks like ben and jerry's is giving away a free scoop of ice cream for those who voted between 5-8pm.

Yes, you can get a free tall cup of coffee from Starbucks. There is a ton of other free crap you can get too...Krispy Kreme (if you can still find one lol) is giving out free "election" donuts. Chik-fil-a is giving out free sandwiches. I heard someone at work say Wendy's is giving out free frosty's.
