I am sure we can track one of those down for $400 bucks. I would do dollar runs in a cosworth...the run would be me driving it from Orr back to my apt. in Uptown.
If you want to have a pre-75 then you wont be having a 280 and you wouldn't want one regardless. 240Z's were 70-73 260Z's were 74 280Z's were 75-83 (I think 83 or 84 was the first of the V6) My Z will be for sale in the summer! I am looking to get $7,500 for it, I have $15k in it--don't fool yourself cars are not a wise investment The Z has quite a bit done to it. I will have to remember it all, I haven't driven it for over 8 months and it is sitting 700 miles from where I currently live. 70k mies when I purchased it. Now has a 280 z engine with a 240z head...10.5:1 compression swithched rearends from 3.4 to a 3.93 switched the 4sp to a 5sp late model replaced stock tach with a 5in monster tach in original location Unilite distributor, MSA headers wrapped in high temp header wrap, 2.5exhaust, crane cams ignition box, crane hi-perform coil, Energy Suspension poly urethane bushings everywhere, eibach springs, tokico struts, MSA strut tower braces front and back, Suspension techniques sway bars front and back, switched carbs to SU's with airhorns and K&N filters, seats replaced with Corbeau's, corbeau 4 point harnesses, ported and polished head, ARP rod bolts, Holley Redline fuel pump and regulator, modified oil pan with traps, Nissan Motorsports Turbo oil pump, Goodridge stainless steel brakelines, Hawk carbon metalic pads, Taylor Hi-Pro 8mm plug wires Interior is pristine...no cracks on dash, aluminum switch plate, toggles fuel pump, ignition box, foglights and rev limiter switch....push button start in cigarette lighter position, Momo Dshaped wheel, MSA quick steer knuckles Got rid of the airpump, emissions control, no cat, got rid of the air conditioning (no need for any emissions control...grandfathered due to the year of vehicle) Yokohoma tires MSA Front spoiler mods came as I could remember them sorry for the weird order. I am sure there is more I have done in the past 2-4 years but I can't really remember everything right now. I have pictures during the build but none post build sorry
sweet 240 man! my dad had a 80 280zx for a couple years, but sold it after picking up the 03 350z hehe...
It's all yours if you want it. I am going to take a week off in the spring and go home and clean 'er up. Round up all the random parts, ship them back to Mpls. Give her one last tune. And then drive it back from IN to MN-put it in storage and sell it off. It will be an extremely sad day. Just makes more sense economically as I would like to own a house soon. You should see the fireballs this thing will spit. HOT!
I'd love to buy it but i'm kinda in the same boat, I got maried in Oct. and would like to own insted of rent.
I wish I would have known that this summer my father-in-law had an old wagon he sold for $50 (the price of the battery)
that'd be cool.....but it's probably going to have the snot beaten out of it....I'd feel bad doing that to a subie
that would work, if someone buys it, I'll put a clutch and coolant line in it this summer (if I can have the clutch back when/if we destroy the rest of the car)
ouch 323 gtx is my all time dream car (former mx6 gt owner) but you would never find one for under $2000 cuz they are soo rare and desirable... i know some one with 5 and he wont even sell me the one that doesnt run
ohh i'll keep my eyes open for any total loss vehicles at my shop that still drive and stuff... we get a few every month that usually go for under 1000 bucks for the title
with a little financial help i can give the car a custom paint job maybe wrb with a huge yello subaru symbol on each side
I'm not sure if he'd like his Maxima ice raced or not. I'll donate 20 bucks towards it though  Seriously, Vics Legacy wouldn't be a bad car for that at all. Topher, PM'd you.
