we had ice a couple weeks ago then it melted. Its 20 right now so the lake will probably freeze tonight or tomorrow night. Then its supposed to be close to freezing for highs for the next week. Our lake makes ice real fast, so hopefully there will be enough ice to go out by foot next weekend. This is the 1st thanksgiving that I havn't been able to go ice fishing.

 

Last year is whats wrong with it. Besides, my tranny isnt what it used to be. I gotta baby it until I can get that badboy fixed/replaced.

 

I really don't think that we will need to worry about having ice come jan.

Tony why don't you take the PT? I am sure the company won't mind if you ice race it :biggrin:

I didnt check, probably 2-3 inches.I did take the sled across the bay a few minuites ago.

Sounds like some good ice making weather to me.

 

3.75 inches of ice now, a little slush next to shore but its allmost all frozen. The middle of the lake looks nice.

we only got a dusting from this storm so for now the lake is nice!

 

I hope it is like the first year I came up where you could go anywhere on the lake with out worry of damage or getting stuck. it was awesome!

 

Good! Too much snow too soon = thinner ice. Takes it longer to freeze up.

just put a trailer hitch on the back of her and tow up the sled(s) behind Sonja..........:biggrin::laugh::hsugh:. And in return ill get stuck out in the Big Horns......:biggrin:

ask driftin240 what he has towed with his bugeye. you can easlily tow one sled. find someone who is only bringing one on a trailer and put it on there trailer.

also dream towed at least one sled up on a 2 place trailer last year with his 06 wrx.

It can be done now stop with the excuses.

 

Got two sleds to bring. Like I said, still up in the air. I'm leaning towards the sleds still pretty heavy.

i could see if i could steal my dad's suv and take my 2 sleds and still have room for 2more sleds on trailer

That would be cool! Only problem is the sleds are just west of Brainerd, which adds another 2 hours to the drive. Would have to stop and pick them up on the way.

Have you put down a deposit yet on one of the few spots left??

 

Any objections to my brother in laws AMC Eagle SX4 sport running the course. I may by bringing my 95 Legacy wagon too if I get the Tbelt and engine reseal done by then.
