They might be getting snow... we're getting quite a bit in Duluth, and its snowing up in Lutsen. No idea about Orr though

 

No snow..just a few snowflakes..maybe within the next few days. An hour south of here there is 3 inches of new snow.

 

We got ~3 inches in Duluth but it stopped now. Hope we get more!

 

Just measured the ice, there is 12inches exactly. Had the truck out there today so you shouldnt have to worry about the ice

Alright, this is a sad day. I had to make a choice, the ice race or Bri. Well... if I went to the ice race I might miss the first day of classes (I'm going back to school to be a teacher) and I kinda think that would be a bad thing. So... I'm deeply sorry for being a hand raiser, but look on the bright side, there's a free bed

Hey Rich can jake take the bed and open up the couch or something if it works to keep us in the same cabin??? He is having shoulder surgery 2 days before.. I was gonna give him my bed and take the couch (whihc is still an option) but seeing as we got our deposits in pretty early... thought maybe we could score another bed... ha ha

you shouldnt get stuck this year, we only have a little snow on the lake now. We gained around 2 inches with all the rain that froze last night, now we have around 14 inches of ice

 

What supplies should we bring? (i.e. food, water, pop, booze)

Maybe a list on the first page would be helpfull to us that have not been up there for this before.

yeah there isn't really any good places to buy stuff up there :biggrin: and everything closes at like 7pm :laugh:

 

not positive if theres any in orr, rich will have to answer that, but you could always get one in hibbing or chisolm, i believe they are about a half hour to 45 minutes away from rich's

 

google hotel + orr + MN and i bet there is something. It wont be ultra close to the resort however, as its a good 15 minute ride into town.

People need to remember they need to bring food as its not especially close to anywhere that has food.

 

Yeah there are, an americinn is there i looked it up for backup plans

 

there are 3 hotels in Orr, just depends on what you want to spend, I would try north country Inn, unless you want a pool then go to Americinn.

 

there is a couch space and a couple floor spots if you want them


There might be 2 beds opening up, I wont know till last minuite though

Hey Rich, how is Cingular service at the cabins this year? Last year when i was up there there wasnt much, but i was looking at our tower sytem today and it seems to look ok. Let me know if you know or not

 

Yeah, I'm on call saturday and we have cingular. There may be a few calls that don't get answered. Even if I do have service!:biggrin:

 

I have cell one and it doesn't work here. However there are spots on the lake that it works though.
