so... how's the ice? worth driving up for a day trip? wound up with sat off after all *grr* (out of curiosity, how long was the drive for you mpls/st paul folks? 4 hours?)
I just got back right now 1:50am from my trip out to the Ice Run event. I could have been home way earlier but had to stop for a little extra cash of course ;-) it's always better to gain then to lose Well, I'm beat... drove out this morning and got there around 11am. Drove all day on the lake and hung out with almost everyone for a short bit before heading back. So here I am... ready to hit the sack. I'll post my pics later tomorrow when I get them loaded... I'm off to bed now. And to those who missed out... it's worth it.
Awsome pix Vic, I would of loved to have been there myself for the day! Let me know next time if your just going for the day.
Probably the best pic of the mag wag on ice. Right after he hit MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMLGEZ's cones. That was just hilarious, although I did hear Matt yelling something:laugh: The kill The retreat
call the cops, cones are meant to be hit. obviously i wasnt driving, so maybe jump to a different conclusion.
Thanks to those people who kept their cabin clean, I thought my Mom was going to flip when she seen cabin #2. shes not too happy with all the stuff that broke
I'll tell you exactly what I was thinking... "Hey, look, somebody stacked all the cones up out in the middle of the lake. I think I'm going to take 4 shots of Jagermeister then go plow all the cones over. Then maybe run to the convenience mart and get some of that crappy fried food they always have at convenience stores..." And tell me, real quick, because I have to know...who sells the cones that look like they were authenticly placed on a public road side for a couple years? How do they get them to look so realisitic...it was as if someone had just snatched them off the roadside of a construction zone. Amazing! Did you buy them from a construction crew!? If you want, I'll go buy you some cones. But they wont look as authentic as the ones that I hit. Where did you buy them I might add, as the place you bought them at seemed to have a pretty good selection because the stack I hit seemed to have a bunch of different shapes and colors...Do they sell some sort of "Aged-Look Road Cone Variety Pack"? If so, I'll pick one of those up and send it up to Orr with the next Ice Race group.
sorry, I gotta call this out. you knew he didn't want you to do it and you did it to get a reaction out of him. just calling it like I saw it. You knew he bought them and you knew how much he paid, I heard you say so, so please don't try to come off any different now, it just sounds like excuses to me. only a couple of them were random cones, most of them weren't. Yo can try to justify it with saying you're drunk and you like to destroy things but the justifciation is kind of excuse sounding to me. go steal some cones for the next one though, we'll need them, I dont care how we get them.
In honor of the occasion, I will be selling commemorative t-shirts for the 2007 Ice Races. On the back it will have the URLs for t3hw00t, MNSubaru, AWDAddicts and DeerLodge Resort, and on the front will be a white outline of the MagWag knocking over cones. These will be limited quantity and will probably be available by April depending on my work schedule. Expect a price tag of around 7 bucks a piece.
Wait, I didn't know how much he paid for them. So don't put words in my mouth. Yes, I knew he bought some of them, but Rich also said he owned a portion of them too and that he got them off the roadside. And Rich didn't seem to have any problem with me knocking them around at night when he was in the car slurping Jag and tellling me where to point the car so I could hit another. You guys need to calm down. I'll buy you some damn road cones if it will help you get over this.
yes the chair was already broken...and the wall plate that broke..well Rich took care of that one.
The ones that had the reflective strips were Rich's cones. The BRAND NEW ALL ORANGE cones were purchased at Menards days before the event. You need proof ask... oh lets see... Matt (bikerboy), Amy, or many of the other people there if there were new cones that I brought out there. Rich's were stacked on top of mine. Two cones were destroyed with regular course driving, expected, but between you and one other person in there full size truck purposely driving over or hitting cones I lost another five cones. That is $50 in cones purposely destroyed. It is not about the loss of cones it is about RESPECT for other people and their property. I am more pissed that people would do this on purpose than that they were destroyed. I expected that there would be casualties. I do not know you that well but I know you demand respect of your things... I expect no less of mine.

i'm not getting uncalm about anything, just calling a spade a spade. You guys did make more of a deal about him not wanting his cones destroyed than he made about them actually being destroyed from my completely neutral observation point, so I was just saying that your excuse sounded thin, and wasn't even necessary. However I do believe is someone says dont do it, I try not to do it even if I think something is funny. I do what I can to respect what someone else asks of me if I think its reasonable, I didnt see anything too unreasonable about it. some people came to race and drive around more, some people came to drink and do stupid crap. There is enough wiggle room to allow both without too much trouble, just live and let live is all i'm trying to say.
Here's an image of a bridge. You'll all need this as a sort of blueprint when you build one to GET OVER IT.
she was tore up last night couldnt even walk. I dont know how she stayed on the back of your sled on the way back to your house
yeah i feel bad to.. i know me and some others did quiet a bit of cleaning before we left.. some the night before and also in the morning.. maybe fire crackers in the cabin next time isnt a good idea
She says "your welcome and thanks for noticing." Both her and I had a great time. We look forward to more MNsubaru events!! I will post up pics as I can...
