Alright well I have been kinda lurking with this thing but I have a 97 Outback I put an 06 EJ257 into (yeah... I'm still not quite sure why I chose this chassis either haha).
I swapped the ENTIRE (engine+bulkhead+rear) 06 electrical harness into her and merged it to the doors/lights/HVAC of the outback. It is a pre-emissions rev chassis so the charcoal canister was up front (vs the new canister behind the passenger wheel) and I am using the outback fuel tank w/ 06 fuel pump/controller.

My problem is almost every time after I fill the tank, within 10 miles of driving, I get a sputter/stall at low revs/idle. Trying to restart requires a bit of cranking as it seems to be a flooded. If it doesn't die I can hold her at 1500 for a little while and it clears up totally. Otherwise once she fires it will rev up and drive fine for the rest of the tank. No CELs are being thrown. Though I have turned off all emission codes related to tank sensor/solenoids as they are not plugged in/do not exist.

I'm guessing its a fuel tank breather issue since I don't have the charcoal canister and is forcing fuel back through the breather hose.
Anyone have any ideas how to remedy this?

Haha I knew I should have put "besides not filling it full" in that last post. I will be doing this but would like to come up with a way to keep fuel from getting in the breather line as I'm sure its not great for the manifold vac lines/solenoids. A check valve wouldn't work as it needs to breath both ways correct?
