idler vs. timing belt....

    I think they both lost....

    this is why I wasn't at firestone (either of them) on friday...luckily I have extras!

    Wow. That pulley seems to always go out after 100,000 miles rolls around, doesn't it? Because you don't have pics of your engine, I assume it is not damaged??? ;)

    well, the dash says 152k miles, but the speedometer doesn't work, and I don't think it has in a few years....

    anyway, yea, the motor's fine. not quite put back together yet, but it'll run.

    i figured those gears were gonna be the next to go :lol: , at least you don't have to worry about the t-belt tensioner :lol: . good thing for the spares, huh.

    Hey Chux,

    Looks familar. :) Austin and I had to patch the XT when the idler went on the freeway. I ordered both sides new and new belts, Austin was nice enough to help out again. :)

    Now if I could just get him to do the SVX. lol
