...Try a set of Admiral 712 tires.

Mike Wagner got me turned on to these after he took me for a drive with them on. Admiral is Kumhos off brand, and I was skeptical when I first saw them. After some seat time with them, I have to say I'm impressed. Mike drove to much higher limits than I normally ever will and they held up great. They're also extremely quiet and are good in rain as well.

The best part about them is the price. I just got a set of 4 mounted and installed for 360 with the lifetime balancing/rotating in a 215/45/17. Will they give the ultimate grip that a set of Star Specs or RS2/3 or any of the other dedicated summer tires out there? No, but they'll give great performance for a daily driven car that doesn't see the track and they'll do it for a fraction of the price.

Link for them on Discount Tires site:

They are the Kumho Ecsta 712. Very good tire. Love the way they handle. Planning to get another set for my 17" and 18".

auhh,...Now I want new tires. Thats a NICE price for each tire.

My Bridgestones on my 17" Rota's are sqeaking if I do about 25mph on 90* turn. Still have about 70% thread left but somehow they do go...errrr a bit. Its braking and turning at the same time. or am I turning too fast?

    Those holes are wear indicators.
