Congrats!! 2 of my wifes sisters have had kids in the last 6 months, and I think her biological clock is going a little crazy about now. Kids are great, enjoy them while they're still small, hehe.
Well, here is the story that I jsut sent to all of our friends: Max Theodore Weidman was born yesterday (1/24/08) at about 12:35 in the afternoon and weighed in at 7lb, 5oz (two ounces bigger than my largest walleye). Here are the cliff notes. Angie was woken up by the sound or feeling of her water breaking, and woke me up at about 4:30. She called the hospital and knew it was time, so we got up, showered, and frantically started putting together all the little things that she had on "the list." Contractions at the time were about 3 minutes apart and "weren't that bad" as Angie says. I drove to the hospital like a rational human being (I know some of you are super proud of me) and got there at about 5:15am. We went upstairs, and got situated and she was dialated to a 5 or so. After about an hour of some pretty intense contractions, she was at a 10 and DEMANDING an epidural. That was the best thing that has ever happened... Things calmed down and she go to a point at about 9am where she decided she wanted to push. Well, after about an hour of consistant pushing, little Max was kinda stuck. Switch of a position, and things started going better. Angie is an absolute trooper. She was SO damn strong and focused durring the entire time, I can't put into words how produd I am of her. She did absolutely awesome and is going to be a GREAT mom!!! He popped out and screamed for about 10 minutes. Mom and baby are doing great! I'm at home quick to clean the hosue a little while she rests at the hospital. His head is rather tweaked and cone-shaped because he was stuck for a while- let's hope that fixes itself. haha. He is a pretty good baby and only cries when he needs something or something is wrong. How about some pix: Thank you ALL SO much for the congratulations. I'm gong to try to get him wrapped up in my Fraternity of STi T-shirt while my wife is sleeping and take a pic. :cheers2:
MMMM booby. Anyway, Congrats to Ted and Max and especially Angie that will have to deal with those two! All the best from Mary and I. Mark Utecht
congrats... Life is amazing when you add kids... they are truly the greatest thing you can do in your life... well having them is the start, raising them well is the greatest thing.. ha ha his dimensions are almost exactly that of my first son... I will get you the type of seats we use and post them tonight... going cheap is NOT a good idea.. some things are worth the money.. protecting the ball of joy is one area you dont skimp
watch out he dont latch on when doing that... mine tried... like father like sons... see a nipple they go sucky sucky
LOL I hated breast feeding, once I got my hands on whole milk, it was bye bye booby in under the first year. My older brothers did it till they were practically 7, and my youngest brother till about five and I'm serious. Asians are weird.
Congratulations!!!! glad to hear everything went and is going well. so are you going to start him you by bring him to the second ice race? lol
Way to go ted, your junk works!!! :wiggle: Congrats and good luck Angie!! :wavey: welcome to subarus Max. I guess we will have to meet another time. :wavey::wiggle:
yeah anything over about 6-8 mths is weird.. or is it 12.. kinda like seeing 4 yrs olds with a pacifier in their mouth... I wanna slap the kid in teh back of the head and shout spit it out fool.. then slap the parents..
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support and congrats, everyone!!! Ok, no STi Fraternity shirt yet, but look what my sisters made for him!!! He's going to have to wait a while to wear it though - it's a 6 month thing. My sisters don't even know there are Subaru enthusiast websites which I thought was funny. I was asked about 3 months ago what year and model car I had, and I guess this is why. She even got the color right! My sisters are so damn cool. Oh, and about the car seat, I don't really care how much it costs, he will be as safe as possible - I completley and totally agree 1000%. I will be buying the best safety products availible as this mindset has saved my life twice before.
ha. I've got LOTS, but no time right now. We just got home and there's a lot to do. Thanks for the excitement, Bee!!
