Just curious bc I never sat in a 98-01 25RS before. Is the height of the driver seat the same as with a WRx seat? For example, when I sit in my Honda, my head almost touch the roof but on my 02 wrx, I still got lots of space from my head to the roof. So just curious if the 98-01 25RS seat is the same height as 02-07 WRx's?
Seat height doesnt play as much of a role in headroom as roofline. The GC is a much smaller car. but I never touch my head on the roof of my gc, and I'm a decently tall guy @ 6ft.
i just read in a thread on rs25.com that swapping in wrx seats in our cars (98-01 rs) raises it about an inch with the wrx rails. also said they pulled out some padding on the bottom and some how used the stock rails and it brought it back down to close to stock height havent tested it myself though

I always felt like I was sitting on top of the car in my RS vs inside the car with my WRX, but the roof height/beltlines on the cars were the main reason. Like Erik, I never worried about hitting my head on the roof in the GC, but with a helmet it might've been an issue.
I have never worried about head room in my Lx. I would think that when designing the car/seats they would have designed them for optimal height for an average person in both cars WRX/RS so it should be about the same. I know for a fact that putting the WRX seats into a GC will raise you up. There is a noticeable height difference mainly in how much of the hood of you can see and also how close the steering wheel is to your legs. I liked the ability to see closer to the front of the car but it felt weird to me. On the other end of the spectrum, I noticed that putting the V4 seats into my GC made me sit lower in the car. I am not sure if this is by design or from my using the wrong rails. I like how it feels but at the same time losing some visibility was a initial concern.
well, I guess I dont have to worry then, I'm only 5' 6 and my 02 WRx was sporty perfect. Unlike both my Civic & Accord I feel like driving a truck/van. I just want to make sure it feels about the same as my WRx on the driver seat for 98-01 25RS bc I'm planning on getting one.
I have Sti seats in my RS which are considerably taller than the stock ones it feels, but I fit fine (6'), with a helmet I may hit the roof tho I'm not sure..
