I have a 06 sti tuned on e85, i went in for a tune the other day and my fuel would cut out after ~5,500rpm my injectors are maxed out at 114.3% at one point. i just put in a 340LPH fuel pump. I dont know a lot about injectors, the guy at the shop said i would need 1000cc.

what is the best bang for its buck?

Larger injectors...you seem to have overkilled the fuel pump. But with side feeds I would say at least 1000cc. What size turbo?

Lj at full blown told me to go with the Bosch 1000cc and he will give them to me for $360.

The injectors on there now have that resistor thing on them he told me, he said I woul have to by pass that or something lol can't remember exactly what he said.

    Lj at full blown

All I'm asking is what's a good 1000cc injector for its $$$?? And when do you need to use resistors or not?

this is a dumb question but i dont know what my car has. i bought this as a repo'd car, with a lot of **** done to it. LJ at full blown said i need bigger injectors, and that the ones i have are old school. looks like a resistor tapped into the plugs. he afford me a deal on the Bosch1000cc for $360 good deal? i do have a bigger fuel rail i can see that, but how do i know if i need top/side feed? and resistor or not? also im running e85

Maybe start with some pictures of your car's engine bay, injectors... things that would help with this. You are asking people to help you, which they seem willing to do. However, actual information about what we are dealing with would be very helpful in making this process successful.

    What we have now....
My feet hurt, I think my shoes are too small. I am not sure what size my feet are or what size shoes I have on currently. What size shoes should I buy?

Try and provide everything you can about your car. The more details the better the level of help you can find.

they are top feed. aeromotive side feed rails are way different. i have those same rails in the pic. i would get a better injector like nuke suggested. id, 5-o ect... should be a drop in switch. might need pig tails but thats not a big deal.

ya Lj said they were old school, looks like ill go with those Bosch 1000cc for $360 doesn't sound like a bad deal? anyone know/use Bosch?

also with the new high impedance injectors what do i do with those resistor things tapped into the wires?

Bosch injectors are great. Injector dynamics and five o and many other companies uses them as the core. Great studf.

All thats going to be done to your car ia the resistor box removed and the new injector harness clips wired into your harness.

Well it never stays at one point, ex: sometime it will sit at 1k some times 1,500 sometimes 600. Lj said with the low impedance it isn't going to be like stock smooth or compared to high impedance, that true? He also said it will tune easier and run a little better.

Yes you are correct, infact I paid less then half of kkb! So if you want to be a dick go for it but when it come to money and I paid less for a fully built car vs a stock one then I'll point the finger and laugh :)

We gave you the answer, take it or leave it, its a tuning problem. Talk to your tuner.

U can laugh all you want but odds are if you had bought a stock car for what you paid it would be running correctly right now.

Ah guys, let's give him a break. :)

We don't really have a history of the car. It'll be hard for us to diagnose your car over the internet like this. Sometimes it can be as simple as a connector needing to be plugged in. But the reason why I asked if you've asked your tuner because she/he knows more about the car than we do here.

If she/he cannot help you diagnose your car, I'd be glad to help you out in person. Until then, hit up your tuner/mechanic.

^ he is an ok guy and a honest informed opinion you will get.

Tough crowd here. Me, I'd go back to what was working and stop going to a Honda shop. Good reviews from people I know but HONDA. Cheap isn't always better.

lol true and not that its not running, i just want to fix the minor problems, thats why im getting bigger injectors and a re-tune, and since its the weekend LJ is not in because full blown is closed i thought id just ask someone that maybe had this problem before or was a tuner. and my 04 sti i fully built and got 439awhp and 451awtq. so yes i can build **** and do body work as thats what i do for a living. any who thank you nuke for all the help you have gave me, and not being a dick the the other dude, cuz if you needed some body work and didnt know what you were doing i wouldn't be that guy to laugh at you. and yes i am a newbie with the AEM EMS because i NEVER had one or worked with one. but thanks for all the help people i will call LJ on monday when hes back in.
