I was wondering if anyone knows which wire to tap into the ecu when installing a LC-1 wideband. The car is a 05 sti btw. Do you tap into the o2 signal or just bypass it and use the port cable? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Wait, why are you talking about the ECU?

The LC-1 is autonomous from the ECU and has its own sensor. Ideally, you'd want to install that in a downpipe bung specifically for this. Don't mess with any of the other O2 sensors in the car.

After that, just run the wiring similar to as linked in that NASIOC post.

Ok I just thought that you could link the ecu and LC-1 together without using the serial port cable. In the LC-1 manual it says to run one of the analog out wires to the ecu, so it confused me a bit but I was just making sure. So does this mean every time I want to log AFR I need to plug in the tactrix cable and serial port cable from the LC-1?

    Lol good luck

You can simulate the rear o2 with an lc1

Your STI uses a factory air fuel ratio as the upstream sensor, the LC1 soes have an output as a narrow band sensor 0-1v that could be used as an ECM input but it would not work in your car and even if it did would not allow you to log. In the LS world we run the 0-5v output into the EGR sensor wire and setup HPTuners or EFIlive to properly log it, I dont think anything like that is available on Subi's.

People have used the 0-5V output wired into the TGV sensor or the fuel level sensor. Then you can log through the ECU, and with the correct conversions you can get useful data. I have been planning on doing that with the TGV sensor, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
