Is there a "another idiot tried to race me" thread?

If not, there needs to be - it is comical how many people change their driving when I come up on them - it must be that intimidating hood scoop, lol. Same thing happened in my Cobra, but it's funny nonetheless. I'm just going to work, and it's rush hour, settle down people.

 

There's something about a giant wing on a car that makes others want to drag race them down main street. That's one reason why I went wingless - less rice burners revving their **** at me...that, and wingless is much sexier, but that's a whole 'nother topic!

Everyone here seems to want to show how much of a better driver they are, has no one done it just to see what kind of power the other car is making? Unless you are all having problems with drivers in stock cars

 

I prefer to find out their screen name on their favorite forum and then just internet race them! haha

I have literally never had anyone try to race me or even indicate they would want to. Modified nor stock.

 

Could be because I just do the ricer flyby to everyone.

Seriously, I would care less about what power the other car is making as most 4bangers (STi/Evo) in particular are V8- highway killers.

Someone kinda tried to "race" me today on the way home lol.
A black Ford Taurus SHO with the license plate "SHOTYME".
There was heavy traffic so not sure what he was trying to do. I was behind him and as soon as there was an opening he stepped on it and a huge cloud of black smoke poured out and then he had to slam on his brakes 5 seconds later because it was rush hour... He did that a few times and then weaved really carelessly through traffic and took an exit.
Was weird.

 

I'm guessing he got off to got off the freeway to get more gas. Just so he could do it all over again?

 

Within the first few weeks, maybe a month, I was done proving my car is faster than most of the ricers in my hood. So now being an adult, I typically just laugh at them.

 

Lol I must just have luck that I don't get all the weird people like that trying to race.

Not true at all....just the other summer there was a Ferrari 360 I was playing with...plenty of old muscle cars as well.

No one ever revs next to my STI... or maybe they try to but I just don't pay attention because I'm too busy get a roady. Or something like that.

I never get folks trying to race me either. must be because i live in the west burbs. The wing does not attract moths to flames out here.

 

That must be in on the outskirts of Maple Grove/Corcoran/Plymouth/Medina. Everyone near me drives an Audi, BMW or Mercedes... I think I'm literally the only Subaru in my neighborhood

 

I usually had to deal with the Honda fan boys and Mustang rednecks when I had the 11 WRX hatch. Now with the 15 STI I mostly see other WRX/STI owners in my mirror weaving like mad to catch up and get a closer look at the car, not to race. Prolly cause they haven't seen one in person etc but gotten a few thumbs up so far..

 

Ding Ding Ding Ding! I live about a mile away from the wayzata high school. it's all fancy cars there. or kids with tricked out VW's (not hatin on VW's as I loved mine, but these kids are supreme d-bags)

 

Saw this porsche turbo and then the riced out stancetarded 370z came up.
He didn't want to play but he decided to give me the ol ricer fly-by before he took the exit for downtown wayzata lol. Must have been going 120 mph but he needed about a mile to get up to speed.
