Me too, and I seem to get a ricer fly by once a week around the same stretch of 494 leading into EP where cops ALWAYS sit. Happened tonight from a civic who had to make sure everyone knew he was making folgers in his muffler.
That Z looks pretty nice besides the red rims, tastefully modded actually. Just from looking at I know that is a quality body kit (Amuse). The Tail lights alone costs near $1K. Yes, I also own a Z as well so i know what I'm looking at. Rice for the ricer flyby, probably. Riced out car, nope.
You didn't see the carbon fiber rear diffuser flapping away in the wind and maybe you can't see just how stretched butthole his tires are with lots of negative camber. Lots of money spent doesn't automatically make it not ricey. The flyby was just the cherry on top.
Speak of the Devil - Some tard in an Audi A4 wagon (dropped) with some whimpy ass turbo and blow-off valve did the ricer-fly-by on 494 Northbound... at 4:45PM... in the middle of rush hour. Just... so... silly.
Yes...a 1991 Chevy Suburban (dual exhaust of course) tried to speed up so I couldn't merge last week...that was strange. Highlight of the week is when a newer Audi A6 pulled up to a 4-way stop across from me (in Wayzata) and was giving me the thumbs up and grinning ear-to-ear. Pretty cool - but he was old, like me - over 40
This is the main reason I like to keep windows open at least a little on the highway. Nobody is as ninja as they think they are. I have a fair bit of time between hearing them attempt to wind it up and deciding whether it's safer to get in front or behind them.
No one here gets more action idiots trying to race them then I do in my wife's Prius. They all think they're soo fast until we hit the corners and the twisites, the rain and the snow then they all fall back and cry cry. My Evo X gets no love.
Earlier today I was out in the front yard when I spotted a 2008+ red sti with transfer papers in the back window. As I'm watching him drive closer, I hear him rev it up, he gives me a thumbs up and drops the clutch. I hope I don't see him flying around like that again in my neighborhood or he might get a rusty socket thrown at his nice new ride. Save your stupid **** for the highway... dumbass
Hey @Ryan FailRad , How is that different than telling people they should take the valve stem out of someone tires that parked and damaged their car? Plus I've seen all the name calling you've done. So why do you have such a hate boner for me? Is it really hate or are you just flirting? Anyways, hate on...
I had a Mazda Speed 3 puffing smoke out of the tail pipe while I was trying to mind my own business with both of my dogs in the car. I think he thought he was faster....lol.
Best I've had was some young meat bag in a dodge stratus. F***er gives me the bj face and zooms by me doing about 90 on 36. I was shocked. Just kept driving and bumping Sheryl Crow.
Looks like the late model Subaru Forester is the worst offender in Maple Grove...seems like buyers remorse to me, but I can't figure it out.
Yesterday stopping into Brookdale Sears, there was a white Hyundai Velostar following me and revving the piss out of his car. He must've just gotten a new bpv or he disconnect his bpv hose cause his car sounded like it was sneezing. Parked in the Sears lot and he did a little fly by as he sneezed away.
Haha I go by that stretch all the time (Live by prairie center) and never got any fly bys . Probably becos I drive a Saab Douche!
I ignore everyone equally. I wave to Subarus if I'm paying attention and then basically ignore everyone else. Maybe I'm weird. I like to drive in my own, little world. The last one that wanted a go was a Dodge Charger R/T. As he took off, all I could think about was how incredibly slow he was going. I guess I was expecting more. Those cars are heaaaaaaveeeey, although I absolutely love the look of the Challengers. I so want a 2015 but wish they were $20k cheaper.
I can't find it now of course but as I was browsing suggested Google+ headlines on my phone the other day sitting on the throne I read about the Hellcat getting a very disappointing and STI like 4.8 0-60 run. I would expect sub 4 seconds out of that beast.
Motor Trend had it down to 4.1, and I'm sure Chrysler has it down below that. Their best 1/4 was in the low 11s on street tires, and in the 10s on drag radials.
Yeah 0-60 is about traction not power. With proper tires on the back it will be a monster. 4500 lbs is a lot to lug around tho. That is the similar power to weight ratio as a 400 whp wrx.
True, but I have yet to see a 400whp WRX come with a full factory warranty, and be able to last at that power level.
Haha that's not what I was saying, just referencing how significant the weight is. I would do some illegal things to get my hands on a hellcat.
Meh, if I sign for a 70k car (when all is said and done) I would expect to not have to do a damn thing to extract it's potential. I would rather put down on a 2010 GT-R and drive off the lot with a car that crushes the hellcat at launch and I could conceivably drive with snow tires.
