I'm going to try to make it, but i left my helmet and my camera at home, and i cant stop back there before taking off from work in order to make it to target at 6:45, so i probably cant get them unless i go home. my fouled spark plug is also causing a bit of erratic idling and not so consistent top end power so i'm kinda hesitant to drive it w/o a replacement so i'm going to try to go to bloomington subaru at lunch and get some replacements and throw them in the back seat. hopefully the old car can make it, we'll see. i'll try to get to target as early as i can.
Im sure you can borrow somones helmet, heck you can borrow mine if you would like, i have a big head so it should fit on most peoples heads. Again here is targets address for those that need to map quest it 356 12th St SW Forest Lake, MN 55025-1749
Justin talked me into it...I'm going for sure!!!! I have dinner reservations at 5pm at benihanas and then I will head straight to forest lake from there. If I can't make it by 645pm I will catch up to you guys on the road. See you all tonite!!!
If anyone else wants to come, there will be pleanty of room. We have 1 more cabin that could be open up.
hmm last time pete tried to catch up he ended up passing half of us going twice as fast lol. are helmets required for the icyness? if so i will need to borrow one from someone. anyone know the best way to the target from the west burbs? google wants me to go through minneapolis. i am leaving in 1hr
Just got back home from up there. It was freaking awezome. Can't wait to get pictures and video's. May the Forester reign supreme
the pocket bike didnt want to stay running, I guess it was too cold for it. can remember for sure whos, but atleast 4 cracked bumpers, 1 tranny and a motor so far. they are still out there playing
I destroyed both wheel well splash guards, so they gotta be replaced, and I put a big crack in my bumper.
No, probably about 6 inches. But it's right on the edge where the bumper meets the wheel well. So it's stickeng about an inch out now. And I had to stop on my way home to cut off more of that little splash guard in the right front wheel well. It was loose, and hitting the tire, and breaking off bit by bit and making a ton of noise.
Today was fun, the course got a little chewed up from last night. And there were pieces of road cones everywhere
I had a great time, thanks Rich for hosting this event, and I hope you have another in the future. Now start posting the vids/pics!
I just wanted to thank Rich and his family again for such a wonderfull time. You guys are awesome. Rich the fish you made was amazing, best stuff ive ever had. I hope we have another event real soon.
Yeah, I normally HATE fish and all sea food, but that stuff was completely amazing. You might have to share the secret to it. Here is my new desktop background after a tinch of photochop. Was that when you got all the SNOW inside your car Zach?
should we start a thread in the photo gallery section? i will shortly if no one else does before i get my pics loaded.
If you are talking about the black Dodge Ram that was on it's side on 53 South (I think)--then it happened right in front of us. About 6 cars ahead of us. Just saw something black shoot off the side of the road. As we passed we saw a man lying face down in the snow. Probably one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Hopefully he was all right. His passenger was sitting beside him curled up in a ball rocking back and forth. God bless them. Hope everyone made it back safe as well.
