Sounds like and looks like you had a great time mius the few bumps and bruses ont the cars. Wish I could of made it.
no we saw a tahoe, then a mile later we saw a taurus in the ditch and a f150 that was just totally caved in from a roll.
The ride home was pretty tense in a few spots in my car. It was fishtailing a bit on some of the turns. It held ok, but scary to do light drifting on the interstate. I had a lot of fun. ow time to take my car to fix everything =[
Yea this weekend was definatly up near the top of my list of best weekends ever. wish i woulda had my own car to drive but Deride was a sport and hooked me up, thanks buddy! thanks Rich for being such a great host. and it was great meeting all you guys... hope i can tag along again. here is a vid of me driving earlier today (reverse track), not the best quality but i figured i would share. http://www.imagestation.com/video/view.html?id=4037698547&dl=1
Rich, that was so much fun! thank you so much for hosting this event. the fish was amazing same witht eh sausage. i got a fair share of pics and vids to put up, but it may take awhile for all the resizing. the ride home was intense. we were cruising along at 70-80 until we saw that car flipped over. aftert hat the whole pace slowed down. under the overpasses was extremely slick, i could feel the car shift as i went over the ice. none the less i made it home safely. i thought alot about stopping to help peopl on the way, but since ppl were already there bystanders dont help. anyway thanks again, it was a blast! i now ffel much more cinfident driving on snow and ice.
Oh yeah, who borrowed my other radio. It's a Motorola Talkabout, and if you open up the battery compartment it will have three batteries that are blue and silver, and they're called NUON in it.
Thanks for everything, Rich! You are an awesome host. Everything was top notch. I'm glad I decided at the last minute to go. Hopefully you'll have one of these again. We saw at least a half dozen accidents on the way home...hope everyone made it home ok. Side note...let me know what you want to do about the BOV and we'll make it happen! My stocker is sitting at Justin's.
oh yeah..and i left my yellow dewalt flashlight, with an 18v battery on it up at richs. i think pete used it for his exhaust hanger then i set it on the ice next to the fire. rich? anyone? did you see it?
I have a walkie talkie too, not sure who's it is but Justin gave it to us on the way up Friday night.
Yeah, thanks a ton Rich. Even though my car's only FWD i still had an amazing time and i think the Buick did too. That was the most intense driving i've experienced in a long time, had alot of fun, food was great and the company was excellent. Thanks a bunch!
Ditto what everyone else has said Rich, I had a blast on that course. It was well worth the 7 hour drive I'd love to come again if you have another event!
TO rich and everyone else who raced at deerlodge Rich this last weekend was so fun!!! i was for sure people were gonna just laugh there asses off at me when they saw me decide to take the BUICK out onto the TRACK!!!! But after a few runs in the car i realised that car really KICKED ass when it actually hooked up!!! AND TO THE FEW SUBARU GUYS THAT ACTUALLY GOT TO TAKE A RIDE IN THE ((( BUICK ))) ( which names i can't remember ) I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOYED IT!!! AND BY THE WAY THE BEST TIME I WAS ABLE TO GET AROUND THE TRACK WAZ A ((( 1:27 ))) yes 1 minute and 27 seconds which is pretty damn good for a FWD buick with bald tires all the way around and an e-brake on the floor on the left side which was REALLY FUN!!! NOT!!! but yeah everyone i meet up there was REALLY NICE, SO THANKS ALOT TO EVERYONE THAT GAVE ME AND THE HOT ROD BUICK (( PROPS )) FOR THE WAY IT PERFORMED!!!
Thanks a lot Rich for hosting this AWESOME event. I had a blast and everyone I met there was really cool. I hope to see all you guys again at another event some time soon!
Still paging for a motorola talkabout radio, it'll have blue and silver NUAN batteries in it. Please check if you borrowed a radio and still have it.
TO rich and everyone else who raced at deerlodge that buick was a blast to watch! i never got around to riding in it around the course. the 1:27 lap time is very good! i was averageing around 1:27 w/ AWD and all seasons. Techy: i think Zach (esperunit) has your radio. i really miss driving around that track. driving on roads is soo LAME compared to sliding care free on the ice.
i thrashed the matrix on the way to work today... it wasn't a lot of fun to drive. too high up, the center of gravity is almost SUV like. i want to trade it in for a legacy turbo wagon now.
