i'm bringing a snow disc, ski tube, kneeboard, ski rope, and a hockey helmet. use you imagination :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

 

I may have convinced two more suby owners to come along if it's alright with everyone. Powerlabs is one of them and the other isn't on the site, but he very good at sliding on snowy roads and he's cool and will fit in well. I really can't wait for this!

Rich, You should post some pics of the current condition of the lake and the amount of snow there

Yeah, there's that. but that's just... general. I want to see pictures of their lodge right now, and I want to see him plowing the lake or something exciting like that

We went trucksledding a while ago and used an inflateable sled so we had absolutely no control :lol: It was a ton of fun though!

 

i am going to try and make it to this, although i would be driving the wagon which i don't think - a lifted gl with no swaybars would be a very good ice racer but i figure i could have fun even if it's not gonna be fast :lol:

Justin: your additions sound interesting, perhaps i should bring some ice skates, a snowboard, an extra forester hood, and an old tire. i might need to borrow your ski rope lol. this would be tons of fun on my track design too.

It sounds awesome, if the car is running well, and I'm not in Montana skiing, I'll be there, and depending on the GF's schedule she'll be there too.

This'll be a good excuse to throw those 155/60/R13 snow tires I got from TCat on and show ya'll how it's done :twisted:

and I'll bring my nice recovery strap, so we can have deep snow recoveries without risk of ripping off parts of your frame!

The track will definalely be snowmobile friendly, pocket bike with studs should be ok also

I am in Minneapolis. If you guys caravan I might meet up. Depending on the time and where you are located. Look for a slow black 9-2x.

Do you guys drive through Duluth or take a different route? Sam, Reid, and I could meet you guys in Duluth if possible

 

Is there room up there for 2 more people and either a WRX or 2 sleds? I am planning on coming, I won't be able to leave till after work that friday though. I would like to caravan with you guys, but I guess that will all depend on when you are leaving. I think my roomate will be coming with me, do you guys mind?

 

I can't leave until after work on Friday as well (around 6ish). I am bringing my girlfriend, dog and possibly my roommate. What a crowd.

I will keep an eye on this post to determine the route to take.

The best way to come up is go 35 south to Cloquet then take hwy 33 to hwy 53 . Then head north until you get 1 mile before Orr then turn left on hwy 23 west go 10 miles and then your there,

That'd be tons of fun, I'm going to try to get my friends to either stay the night on Thursday or something so we can be in Duluth nice and early. They're driving from Houghton (roughly 3 hours to Ashland, then 1.5 to Duluth) so we might be a little late).


Does anyone know what time we are going to try to show up at?

I think this was touched on earlier in the thread, but I did not see it so I am going to bring it up again.

My girl friend/ fieance is thinking about coming up too, but she is not as into cars as I am, is anyone else brining there ladies? I just don't want her to come if she is going to be board all weekend.
