i love fish but i cant eat it with my stomach. i am not sure about molly, but i dont think she likes it...she's picky.

Ahahahaha... Sorry man, but I think mine will break long before anyone else's; I'm on my 3rd tranny and the last 2 broke with an N/A engine. I've used the current one to lay down a 12.6 second 1/4 mile and a 0 - 60 time of 4.07 seconds... If there is a way to break a transmission on ice (I doubt it), I'll bet mine breaks first :twisted:

I go hunting around there(Side Lake, MN) they have a cool bear refuge where you can go and feed wild bears during the summer/fall. Pretty wild. Gotta love it up Nort!

 

so, what Kind of food do yo want us to bring, do the cabins have a full kitchen? fridge, stove, microwave? Are we grilling? hamburgers? hotdogs? Just wondering what type of food to bring.

yes the cabins have a full kitchen, fridge, stove , microwave , gas grill.
We are probably going to do some grilling saturday, burgers/ hot dogs, so someone can bring hotdogs, ground beef, ketchup, mustard, chips, etc... let me know what each person will be bringing and I will put it down on the 1st post so a bunch of people dont bring the same things.

 

ill bring a bunch of hot dogs/brats for everyone.

Oh yeah? That place is pretty cool. Cooler when Vince was still the owner and lived there. I had a big boar follow me into the bed of my pickup for a bag of Marshmellows years ago. Back then you could hand feed them. At your own risk of course.

But its still pretty cool to go see now. Just can't get nearly as close as you used to be able to.

 

I have only been there once since Vince died, its just not the same now.

 

Yeah, Vince seemed like a really nice old man. Pretty funny pulling down his long drive way and seeing a trailer house all caged up.

I heard a woman was attacked there back when Vince still lived there. Is that true? Had her chest clawed up bad or something?

Atleast they still have it open. Its still a pretty cool experience for people who never got to see what it was before.

 

The only person I remember getting clawed was some lady that was trying to feed one of the bears out of her mouth

Everything is set for the race, the course is plowed and marked. Got some wood for the bon fire, caught some fish for the fish fry. Is anyone else bringing food? or do you just want to buy it here. who is bringing their snowmobiles?

Yeah, I was thinking around the early-mid 90's. I think I first went there in '93-94. Last time I was there was prolly '97-98.

 

as I said earlier, I know a guy that has access to a large trailer and would like to bring his sled. if there are others who want to drive their subie, but would also like their snowmobile, this is your opportunity! anyone?!

i'm planning on on buying food up there. i guess i think we should just bring our own stuff. this is going to get way to messy if we each try to bring one thing. plus, we are going to need about 6 meals, so everyone bringing one thing doesnt cut it. lets just go shopping when we get up there, then just get what you want for the weekend.

 

Yes, shop when we get there. I'm sure Rich can point us to where the food is.

 

I know I am not going but when I have been with groups like this the best way I have found is for everyone to pitch in say 20 per head, someone go shopping, if there is extra divide it equally, if there is not enough divide the overage equally. my .02

 

Rich how do we pay you for the cabins? Is this cash or plastic?

Dont worry. there is pleanty of ice. They have been hauling logs across the lake for a house, and they have had no problem. 14-15 inches of ice.
