EVERYONE LEAVING FROM THE CITIES Lets meet at firestone at 6pm. We will jump on the highway from there.
when you guys get about 3 miles from my house be careful, they were doing road construction and the highway has been glare ice for the last month. There have been cars in the ditch every other day. A semi left his bumper by my house yesterday after hitting the ditch.
Are we all just meeting up at the resort? I will probably be up there an hour after the Minneapolis crew arrives. Chris

I won't get out of work (downtown Minneapolis) until 5:30pm, pick the GF up, run to her apt. in uptown, pick up the dog--at the earliest we would leave her house at 6pm--isn't Firestone in St. Paul? Not to mention that it will be rush hour. Trust me I wish I could get out of work early. If so where is Firestone--address will be need--so I can mapquest it. C-

I live in andover, but we can meet somewhere in forest lake if you would like, that is where 35w and 35e come together.
Yeah, forrest lake isn't so bad (only a little back tracking ). Traffic usually sucks on the main street there, but might not be bad at like 6:30.

There be a walmart and a target right there. You can see them when you exit. Lets meet at TARGET. You Take a right off the ramp and then a right at the 1st stoplight, it's on your right.

sam, don't you think we should leave friday night and stay with kelly in ashland? the drive is closer to 7 hours if everything goes perfectly... I'd rather get there sat. morning than sat. evening.. if we leave at 7am I doubt we'll get there much before 3pm... Just a thought kelly, what time are you planning on leaving ashland?? what time is everyone planning ot arrive at the resort?
I really really wanted to get there Friday night, but Sam can't. Hmm... that's a predicament :? I vote you guys make it an all nighter and you pick up Sam at the airport in his car and haul ass over there. Or don't haul ass, tickets are a no no. But it's up to you guys, I want to get all the time I can over there because I have absolutely nothing to do that whole weekend as it's still my x-mas break Give me a call or a text or something and we can figure it all out. And on a totally different note, I think we should all be responsible for some type of booze, be it, beer, vodka, whisky, etc... etc... I think that would make it easier and there would be more variety. I'll buy a couple bottles of Jack if that's alright with everyone.
i would definitely try to be there friday night or early saturday. I'm sure saturday is going to be the funnest day because i'm sure we all will be leaving sometime on sunday late afternoon ish. so we wont have a whole day sunday

I hae to be lame this late in the game but is there any room for one more like me? I was supposed to drive to the east coast this weekend but my tow vehicle backed out on me so my weekend is mostly unplanned. I dont know how to reserve a room or anything, but i guess i can afford to pay for any type of accomodation theyd have there so maybe that wont be too much of an issue.

We are meeting at TARGET at 6:45pm still right? Look for a black 9-2x. ALSO if you are bring a camera (digital still or video) BRING YOUR FIREWIRE/USB CORD. I will bring my G4, Macs are plug and play so I don't need your camera software. For those of you bringing a video camera, I can import and cut the video on my laptop too. I also have the full iLife suite so I can make a DVD (w/menus and all) to include slide shows and video. We can burn them in Orr and I can pass them around. The DVDs will play in any DVD player beyond that the jpegs will also be stored on it so that you can pull files off for personal use. I have Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro HD, Toast, iLife Suite you name it so I will be able to do pretty much anything. I can also compress it down to a decent size so someone can host it on the web. BRING DVD's if you want a copy. I may only be able to get a few done--so those of you with DVD burners should copy it for others. Cheers Chris

nope, it's just north of where 35W and 35E converge....take 494 N (however you like to get there, I like 24, but 12/394 works too) to 694 E to 35W N turns into 35, get off @ forest lake, you'll see the target from the top of the exit ramp. I too will have my laptop, and want as many videos/pics as people can get me, it's not fast enough to do any editing on it, but I'll copy 'em to my desktop and spend a few weeks on making a really sweet vid. Also, I've got a video capture card on my desktop, so if you've got a non-digi vid cam, bring it, and your cables, and maybe we can get the vid on my desktop here in duluth on the way back....if nothing else, I'm planning on coming to firestone next friday....
