signed up and finally got my SCCA membership too! Lost my last weekend membership code and the tax break slip was distroyed by ran so i couldnt get the number . but I'm signed up and ready to go!
Sorry we didn't know about this. We have all the weekend membership numbers on file. I could have looked them up for you. It may be worth a call to SCCA to ask if you can get any kind of refund. I do not know what their policy is on it. For anyone else, if you lose you weekend membership number, let me know and I will look it up.
I'm not sure how awake I'm gonna be that morning. Big party (hopefully) at my place that Saturday night. I'd really like to go out there and have some fun and see what it's like to take full advantage of my car.
i dont think i have ever gotten more than 4 hours of sleep on the night before a rally or rallycross.
Hell, I know I can do it on 4 hours of sleep and with a couple tallboy Amps no problem.. The issue is gettin everyone outta my house that morning to make it on time. May have to assign a house-sitter for the day! Oh, and here's an invite to the shindig at my place to all the subie guys and gals. I have ample parking since there is a massive empty lot across the street. Maybe an impromptu meet is in the cards: http://www.facebook.com/events.php?ref=sb#/event.php?eid=88732717427
I didnt even think about you guys having them on file. I put a question into SCCA. So I will see what they say. Still excited for the next race!
I will be attending!! I'm really excited b/c this location looks great. I've only ever run New England rally-x's. Does anyone want to loan me gravel tires for this event??? My gravel tires are back home in Maine. I'm sure I'll have fun on my street tires but I think I'll be complaining all day that I could go faster if only I had my dirt tires. If you have a set of gravel tires (mounted on wheels of course) and want to loan them to me for this event I will be your best friend.
If you've got a set of snow tires on rims I'd use those. I've found them to be fast for this venue as its more silt than gravel, especially if it rains. Amy
I am visiting the cities for only a few weeks and so all i have are the summer tires mounted to my stock wheels.
I'll have to try and get my snows mounted the day before. Hopefully I can make it, but still up in the air, hence not signing up yet.
lmk if you need help dan. i think work on the rally car is on hold till after nemadji 3 (aside from basic maintenance).
Well thinking of entering this event but am wondering what type of damage is possible to the car. Would a layer of painters tape and some huge mudflaps be enough to keep my exterior from being thrashed? Is the course dirt for the most part? I know kinda weird thing to be worrying about when it comes to rally but I don't have a specific rally vehicle.....yet. thanks for entertaining my rally newbness:dunno:
pretty easy course on the car. not many rocks. you could do painters tape if you wanted. no guarantees that you won't damage your car though - it happens.
The course all dirt and is pretty soft, i don't even put painters tape on my car and I haven't noticed any chips in the paint. Flaps are probably a pretty good idea though. The only damage i fear really is rolling a tire. Also if you car is lowered or anything thats not gonna help.
less than one week away people...sign up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, it's suppsed to be 84 and sunny so bring your sunscreen and plenty of water/gatorade!!!!!:yumyum:
Any one going that will be driving down from 35 and going through hinckley? I would like to watch and I don't want to drive all the way down
Food update UPDATE: Gang, as of right now I haven't decided what food MNSOC is providing for eevnt. I'm running solo on this one so I might keep it very simple. MNSOC will have bottled water available throughout the day.
Anybody wanna let me co drive their wrx, someone who doesn't have snow tires and would like to use some, I have blizzak LM-22's on 16" wheels with some of the tread blocks cut out, their good enough to win PA. Unless they somehow fix my car by friday.
I'll provide some free Frito-Lay chips from my work, if someone can hook me up with some mudflaps and rims with snow/dirt tires to borrow.
Hahah, no problem. I was planning too, but wanted to see if I could entice someone to help me out as well.
2 things, 1: can I pay my fee with a credit card. 2: does anyone have an XL helmet that I can borrow for this event?
