1. You can paypal the money [email protected], I believe you can set paypal up to come out of a credit card. 2. There are loaner helmets available, I believe they are XL, but not totally sure. Carrie
thanks for the info, although as far as the helmet thing, i was hoping to borrow from a member. just so I know how many heads have been in their helmet. I'm a germaphobe when it comes to hats, helmets, anything that goes on my head. Edit, my money has been sent!
I am not being a smarta** when I say in this case, you should buy a helmet. Go to Bob's Cycle Supply (just east of Rice St. on the north side frontage road of Hwy 36) and buy a current Snell rated helmet. About 100.00 will get it done. BTW, I agree about loaner helmets. I know how funky mine gets and I don't want to loan it to anyone because of it.
This is basiclly what I have for autoX and RallyX, works fine, probably a little heavy, but you only wear for a couple minutes at a time. http://www.bobscycle.com/browse.cfm/4,107282.html
Food!!!! LUNCH UPDATE: Since it's going to be another warm event and we're all sick of the hotdogs we purchased sandwich supplies including some high quality deli meats/cheese so everyone can build their own sandwiches. :yumyum:
I have some snow tires you could use if you wanted, they're 16" so they'll put you in pa if your not already there from the tune. They're not the best snow tire, kind of worn and not that aggresive (other than the cut out tread blocks), but they'll get you a lot more traction than re-92's or other all seasons.
Are they mounted? If not, I can just have my new snows mounted to my stock rims.. Trying to save some money from having to remount tires twice this weekend.
sounds like a great idea! im hungry now! if you need anything else lmk, cause u know I get a discount at lunds/byerlys.
Regarding the loaner helmet and helmets in general. I use a balaklava/head sock/helmet liner even with my own helmet, especially if it's hot. It's a lot easier to toss that in the wash than it is to de-funk a helmet. And they're like $5 at Fleet Farm in the ATV helmet section.
^^thats a great tip. The Plumber suggested cutting the sleeve off an old t-shirt and using that as a head sock. Im hopefully **fingers crossed** buying a helmet today. Even if I dont use it all that much, I'll have one for the ice races this year so I dont knock myslef out again. **edit** I have a helmet!
Alright, my boss decided last tonight minute that she wanted to open the store on Sunday, so... GAME ON! See everyone there.
yep and we will roll from there I might even let you drive so u can get used to the car a little. woot rally rally rally rally ..
that might not be a bad idea, although it would be fun to see how fast I can learn your on the first run. What do you want to do about numbers? I have 01458 all in red with 45 being italic. Also do you have an electric impact or should I bring mine?
I do not have one..I have like no tools, I have 5 and 7 I registered as 57 ..so we can figure that out when we get there. should be a fun time hopfully i can learn from you.
you do understand that spring fever was my first rallyx, My only previous experience is from driving in ~200" of snow for two years, which i will say I'm pretty good at.
everybody learns something from everyone if not then u fail...hopefully I can teach you something like how to ice a cupcake  jk.
We have a three digit limit for numbers with no preceeding zeros or decimal points. This helps simplify timing and scoring. Carrie
we used to have a guy from chicago that used the speed of light as his number. actual scoring just used the first three digits but it was still fun.
what about pi or e? or even i (j for us ee's)... good luck trying to enter a cone for my car square root of negative one! I know i'm a nerd...
I promised everyone would get dirty and I delivered!!! I hope all of you had fun today and liked the course! And BIG thanks to everyone that came out to race....... AND HELP (Russ~WRX1, Mary Utecht, Carrie Carlson, Erik Dahl) hope to see all of you at Corconan on August 2nd.
tough to get the hang of...suspension way to stiff for rally cross. came in 4th in class and 8th overall
I will try and get some of the pics up tomorrow. I have about 1200 that I need to go through again and get rid of the bad ones, then go from there. Time to go stare at the wall, it is too tough to look at the monitor with all the dirt in my eyes.| Russ
Great fun! Thanks to everyone who put on the event. I'm feeling like I improve every time I do another lap on a rallyx course... awesome. Paul 93 eagle talon tsi
