As long as this site doe not become like mnsc I am fine..I love coming over here cause their is less hatting on people, and the vibe and energy is way better..but the last few weeks I have been questioning that.. I get tired of all the drama over their and I don't want to see any drama float its way over here.
I agree, but it is pretty much up to the members to get along. There's no amount of moderating that can make people be nice to each other, in fact over moderating seems to have the opposite effect. Once in a while people need to work things out and get it out of their system, and us mods will try to keep it somewhat civil if we need to.
Yea, people disagree and people don't like what other people do or say. When the best way to deal with it is to just ignore it and let it go, but alot of people dont or cant do that. That's what creates drama. Haters
^ truth..I just think this site has a much better camaraderie than most local sites. I mean over here I don't get picked on or made fun of like mnsc or mitsustyle..and I always find myself laughing...not to mention I love sccoby's! No forum can be drama free, we just have to deal with it as civilized adults (LOLOLOOL!)

Dude if i can handle mnsc i can handle here..this is a walk in the park..besides most guys know to stay away or the claws come out...hahah jk that and i actually know a thing or two about cars..some girls just like the attention... and could care less about the mechanics of things. I don't like girly cars I like cars that have some balls.

Out of all the infractions you have recieved I have only given you ONE....that was tonight. Moving along.... To address the infraction and mod issues. Yes, there are issues that we're curretly addressing. We need more mods and to get everyone on the same page. As I'm sure most here can agree, there's a lot of posts/threads that are not appropriate. This is a car oriented site and most threads end up in the gutter. That's really a bummer. Seriously
If anyone is going to complain about ****ty mods, they just need to go over to www.t3hw00t.com to see some real nazi action going on. lol. Random bannings are encouraged over there.
tis a endless circle. i'm still waiting to have a democracy around here with open voting for board members/mods/admins etc. this way if there are certain senior members that dont do jack for the club but think they are gods gift to all get voted off...which in turn is better for the long term life of the club. just because you have been on a forum/club for a long time doesnt mean you deserve jack... this is not directed towards any of you mods/admins....just my thoughts in general about management of clubs
I've read tons of good humored banter on this site, but also lots of people just being plain mean. I would like to see people comment on the forum in a way that mimics face to face conversation. I bet people aren't willing to say in person even half of the stuff people are willing to throw down on the computer. A noob posts a thread and gets slaughtered for asking a noob question. They get reamed and told to "search." But it's not like we're running out of bandwith. There's a lot of people that really act like jerks that wouldn't do so w/o the layer of internet anonymity. So I say, let's be friends, use caution about being overly aggressive, and show a little respect.
I had no idea a forum was such a big part of peoples lives. Yeah Im on here trolling around, post the occasional OT, give my .02 here and there. If someone doesn't like what I post, **** em who cares. I'm not going to get a red chafed ******* about it, you people who do, need to lighten up, or take it up one on one face to face. Now that would be an event worth posting about =)

i honestly think the infractions are retarded, especially when you have something taken out of context from an AIM conversation *cough *cough shibbs *cough *cough honestly, all this talk about members bantering is getting old. i am personally getting tired of people coming out of the woodwork complaining about it, the majority of which i have never actually seen in person. i understand how the site can look towards newbies and passersby, but seriously,this is an internet forum. i honestly think the mods need to lighten up a bit, or, do a special users forum like they have on some other sites. you all know damn well what a good majority of us post like, if it bugs you so much...make a sub-forum for us where we can have our fun and new users and watchers dont have to see it. seems simple and fair to me. granted, we do take things too far and carry on a point for way to long... i do it to, ie. chet and his mistakes... but seriously, an internet forum should give you a hint as to what it will be like, then, toss in this little part.... ready.... WE ARE CAR PEOPLE, we are jerks by nature, push bottons and talk smack. and if you disagree with that, please, show me a car group that doesn't, honestly, try it. i have been around cars and large car groups my entire life, even the 75 year old guys and girls talk crap to eachother and give eachother a hard time. this whole bantering crap is getting old, my join date says one thing but i have been on and around longer than that, this is a freaking loop we go on every year. it gets a tad out of hand, members freak out, all hell breaks loose. then it calms down and we start to repeat it all again. honestly, if you have a problem with a member, PM them, isn't that what they are for? that goes for you Chux, bitching at Jason does nothign for the rest of the group, Nate, you could just as easily tell Tim he is acting like a child and needs to step up the maturity a notch or two. i am not claiming to be innocent in the least or complaining about the banter, i dont care, it doesnt bother me at all. i can say i deserved infractions for my drunken post calling the mods nazis, i got a warning i thought that was pretty cool of Scuba. but honestly, grow up a bit you guys... there is no right with/for you, if it starts getting out of hand you blame the mods for not doing enough, then when they drop the hammer on you, you cry unfair and they are overstrict. pick on, stick with it and everyone stop complaining about the same stuff over and over again, it gets boring, if i wanted to read the same **** again i would use the Search button /end post
Well I have stayed out of this waiting for it to end, I guess there is no chance of that based on Human nature. The issue as I see it is that everyone is bored, its winter and we all need something to keep us busy. Since there is no way for people to get out and work on their cars they have resorted to trying to fix each other. Suggestion: "Get another hobby for the winter" Of course I must quote the great philosopher "Rodney King", "Can't we all just get along"
