So I have the lights out and I was about to bake them when I noticed that every where that has the mod listed says to use engine enamel I was planning on using the wrb paint from grimspeed. Any reason I have to use the high heat engine enamel?

Most people say use engine enamel because of the high temps of the bulb. YMMV. I only baked mine to remove the amber, I didn't paint them when I did the bake on my LGT. I've heard of people going both routes without issues when I was reading up on it, but better safe than sorry. The only thing worse than doing something cool to your car is trying to do something cool and having it end up looking shoddy. I'd say play it safe and go with the enamel, but that's your call.

Just make sure you let your paint cure for a while before putting them back in and hitting them with the hot bulbs. Heating up the paint while it is soft may cause it to sag. Apply your coats thin and in 70+ degree temps. You may need a few more coats than usual, but if you let them setup and dry, it'll probably turn out fine. I didn't use enamel on mine and they are fine so far.
