If the weather gets bad, I might look to head down as a passenger with someone. There is no way I will ride 5 hours in the rain, even with the right gear.

I already talked to Bill about this, but his wife is going with, so I'd be in the back. I'm totally cool with riding in the back, however, I'm 6'1'' and backseats never agree with my knees. So if someone doesnt want to ride solo and wants a co-pilot in the event of poor weather, let me know!

If the weather is nice, I'll be on the bike! Any other riders going?

Not skipping all of the riverside driving... The route to me looks like a combination of scenic driving and highway driving so the trip doesn't take too long and we can make it there in time for lunch.

 

Pra4sno is coo...if u wanna ride with me and my wife we got space...in the Leggy if u r ok with the passenger side...she can sit in the back ZZzzzzz

6'1" is a a bit big for our small back seats. but that crapped ride would be better then a good walk, or a wet ride... Let me know if you still need a ride, either way is cool...

Instead of going through DT La Crosse, I can lead the way through the French Island exit. Less stop lights and easier to stay together.

 

Trust me this is a really good idea. Other wise everyone will get lost between all the lights and there is construction in lacresent.

I'm from La Crosse, so I know my way around.

 

I'm working on printing up some maps to hand out saturday morning. Can someone come up with a Simplified turn-by-turn set of directions for getting to the location? Just major highways and then streets to take once we get there. And maybe a final destination address. I'll get it layedout tonight and then print up copies tomorrow.

Here is the way we are talking about. Only one set of stop lights if we go this way...compared to 4-5 if we go through downtown.

It's French Island Exit #2.
Take a right off the exit (B) Dawson Ave
Dawson Ave becomes Bainbridge St.
Take a left at Clinton St. (You will see the area we're meeting when you come to the stoplight)
Right (heading south) on Copeland.
Right on St. Cloud St.
Follow St. Cloud St. to the meeting area. (It will take you around the park)

 

on the way down 52, are we actually going through zumbrota, or are we going 52, to 60? The reason I ask is the 52 to 60 will be a great spot for my buddy to video the cars...

Yes, I know. That's just the highways, the final destination on there is just "la crosse, wi" Google didn't know where "Copeland park" was, so I'll do it by intersections and get it close, and then just photochop a zoomed photo like you posted and put that as an insert on the map.
