Ummm, i guess that i wasn't the only one that missed it before! They DO have a paybox for parking that appeared to be $0.75/hr. My guess is, if we all would have paid the paybox, then we could have been there for the hour or two that we had PAID for? Just sayin

If park patrol is going to start doing their job, I guess we'll have to pay for a couple hours to park there. I big $1.50. That's fine with me. Next time I'll pay and they can check that if they want. It's still a really nice spot to get together.
Yeah... this is how I feel too. I will drop $1.50 or $3.00 to hang out for a few hours. I mean that's less thankful the price of beer or an energy drink.
I don't have any qualms paying, it's just that we've never been harassed by the po-po there in the last three years I've been going there. I'm just wondering if it's because we've had some people rev out 1st and 2nd gear on their way out recently...
People tearing out of the lot once n awhile isn't new but I agree it could be a contribution to the recent problems and I know im guilty of doing it once n awhile
I dont understand why people do that..we have all seen each others cars a million times and no ones junk is going to get any bigger the more you rev and peel out..thats why I waited to leave cause I was pretty sure those cops were going to follow you guys and I wanted no part of it.
I think it was too late to pay because we had been there a while. I would also be more than happy to just pay and stay there. There was a couple guys on motorcycles doing the same thing as us and the park patrol gave them a hard time because they hadn't paid already, even though they were willing to pay on the spot. Tickets came flying out from both patrols even though people were paying right then and there, so we all left. Next time, I'm just going to pay for the time I'm there. ~Dan
I also agree with the idea of not revving it out as we leave. That's pretty disturbing for the people living right there. If it becomes a problem, I'm sure the local police won't have a problem sitting there to hand out exhaust dB tickets. ~Dan
It's going to be nice and hot tomorrow. Does anyone remember if the pay station is cash only or if they had a spot for credit cards? I might have to go get change @ the bank if they don't take cards.
Should be a pretty nice day tomorrow. I don't recall if that was a newer machine with card access. I would bring some cash in case. Hopefully I can make it out tomorrow night.

I'll pass on the whole "excessive heat warning" business. Extreme cold I can do, I can always put on more layers. Extreme heat is different. I can only take off so much before I run in to a bit of a social issue.
