Another great meet... The weather was perfect... The view was excellent... Plenty of bacon of both sorts... Pepsi cock blocked by Dr. Pepper... Tim my offer still stands... and oh don't you all forget :comeatmebro:
Looks like I have hotdogs and buns for tonight. I think we are good on chips also... Last weeks donations are going to BBQ Chicken when it goes on sale. List of what could be used this week: Buns... Hotdog and hamburger Soda... Mt. Dew & Coke for sure Hotdogs and hamburger patties Paper towels & plates Money to pay for your spot at the LaX cruise Thanks, Dean
I'll come and see how this event is for the first time since meeting at OC, I can bring a 12pk of soda or how bout water, me know drink soda much
I'm just coming to check out the ladies, I'll go jogging/walking first as I'll be there around 6 and then hang out and eat with you guys. lol
I'll refer ya to the first post, still the same lot ...althought people usually start showing up around 6pmish.
Since many people are using GPS these days, it might be useful to update the first post with an actual address instead of a photo.... 3754 W Calhoun Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55410
:recalculatingturnrightnow: Guess I'm use to using a different kind of GPS... I'm pretty handy at looking at a photo and knowing where to go... I sometimes forget that many people are directionally challenged... BTW for anyone who has a real GPS the real coordinates are 44.9351967, -93.3151788 I'll update the first post to reflect all this great scientific knowledge tonight at work.
I fail to see why you are being a tool about this? Because you can look at a map and other people choose to use their cell phone, in my opinion a much better option, you are some how better than them? I mean Ben was just trying to help out the thread, no need to be stupid about it. Yes, we all understand what GPS is and what actual GPS positioning looks like. Sorry, people with this knowledge are not in a special club. Also looking at a map or "reading" a map is not a special club. Typically that is reserved for people who are anti-technology, or areas where technology cannot reach. Great you can read a map, cool. I think we all went to elementary school, so that is pretty much covered. However, when you talk to people about GPS, 9/10 times they are using their Android, iPhone, or Garmin. They plug in a street address and go. I am sure you fully understand this and choose to be a jerk about it anyways. Hats off to you man!
really a GPS? How hard is it to: A) find Lake Calhoun B) find parking lot with Subaru lovers sharing the love... with that said i shall be there tonight with my Subaru!
??? I guess you should take me out of your *ss... I was only trying to be funny... I guess SOME people need some sort of lube to understand my dry sense of humor... I was intending to update the first post with a direct link to a google map... So all the SPECIAL people can find:
^ yeah, the attempt at humor did not seem present. I saw someone trying to help and someone not helping. The rest is above.
Chill guys, chill. No ill-will from Dean, I'm sure of it. Likely won't be able to make it this week, but will try for next week. Gotta fix the mower finally and tackle the jungle that is my yard.
I'll be at 44.9351967, -93.3151788 in approximately one hour. Because science. See you bishes there...and bring a jacket for t3h w1ndz.
so this will be my 1st time at the meet, but i see a blue rs park in the Linden Hill neighborhood on my work route, guess that's the main guy who started this meet? maybe i'll use my handheld garmin gps for those cord!
I would much rather have the address posted than a link to Google Maps. A link doesn't help me enter anything into my Garmin. Sorry if we all can't all be as good at directions as high and mighty comedian Dean. Even if you think that only idiots need GPS to get to places I am sure there are plenty of people who have skipped this because it was a PITA to try and figure out how to get there. I was just trying to help.
beside the weather, nice 1st time out on calhoun with some cool dudes, cruising to wausau this wknd then lacross the following wknd, woohoo!
^Nice meeting you tonight! Met a few new peeps tonight, besides the wind...good times! Emily...you've got sand in your guac...lullz.
You'se guys are too funny! Dry humor and sand, Its all good! Hope to meet y'all in the next few weeks. An dats da truff.
I'm sure that it was delicious! I look forward to trying it without the grit one of these days. It did smell really good! Stupid wind...
oh well maybe next week I still have an onion and some spices so all I really need is the avacados and a tomtato.
Another week gone by... I got the chips, pop, and the grill. I am low on just about everything else so this week bring food and quarters... I am guessing with the nice weather the lot will be policed... most likely we will set up just inside the park on the west side of the lot. Thanks, Dean
