The general public can be pretty dumb, but I personally have not seen any issues with anyone attending the meet.
I'll be there this week as well...don't forget your grill emily... And since Dean won't be there, hopefully some people will bring some meat, buns, etc...
Yep, I grabbed it along with the leftover hot dogs. I'll bring them out for next week. By the way, excellent turn out this week. Good to see so many people come out, even some new faces!
Yup I was a 'new' face, didn't see a whole lot of people I recognized and was feeling a bit anti-social haha. Next week I'll have to talk to some more people before I head back to CO. Agreed, good turn out!
Yup psm 05'. Thanks! I was definitely admiring the Saabaru, always wanted one! and no I am on tokico D-specs tightened all the way at all times with H-tech springs. Unlike many, I love the feel of a vehicle that rides stiff.
Oh nice setup, dspecs are awesome (I'm on dspecs with RCE yellows myself), and the h-techs actually have a pretty good ride height for the wagon. I like a stiff ride as well, but turning them up to full stiff might be a bit overkill (over dampening for the spring rate of the springs)...I had mine on full stiff for one autox and when I had my suspension apart last week, I noticed that I literally bent the metal spring perch on one side because it was so stiff. Dspecs are no joke! I think I have mine and 2.5 from full still in the front and 3 in the rear (which is still probably overkill), but the ride is still firm and handles well!
I've heard great things about the yellows! Yeah the H-techs arent too bad(compared to s-techs..), I do plan on throwing some 3/8" saggy butt spacers on that I've had sitting around for the almost a year and dampening my rate 1.5f-2r or 2f-2.5r for a little softer ride and throwing on some full coilovers for when I start auto-x. Love the d-specs tho!! I'll have to check out your set up next week!
^^for sure! On a side note - I propose that we hit up Old Chicago this week after the meet instead of Slims. Why you ask? This week they are giving out free "Foamer Bucks" for those of you who are a part of the Old Chicago World Beer tour. You should have gotten an email a few days ago with a link to get your foamer bucks code. You bring in your code, and your code is worth at least $5...and potentially $10 or $500. Old Chicago usually has good late night happy hour specials as well (starts at 9pm...$1 personal pizzas, $2 nordeast and miller, $3 Surly, $1 off taps, etc). This should give all of you beer tour members plenty of time to find that email, print your code, and bring it out for Tuesday night. For those of you who aren't members...try checking the Old Chicago website or ask when you are there. ...just an idea though, let me know your thoughts.
Damn, that sounds like a good idea Jordan. And I have one of those WBT cards, just never check my junk email account. Too bad I already have plans tomorrow night.
Its all good...I can't give ya a hard time either, cuz I missed the rallyx yesterday I really wanted to go, but I had family stuff.
what do i need to bring. last time i brought mountain dew and it was almost gone before i snagged one.
Would like to but the Forester is in the shop. Plus I'm in the process of moving. So maybe next time.
