For my 1,000th post, I'm happy to announce that the Saabaru is proudly cranking out 13.9 volts of electrical fury, according to my radar detector anyway. Oh, and more importantly...the Thomas Beach lot at Calhoun is now open! I just stopped by and the gates are wide open. Big thanks to Jason for calling! I say we are on for Calhoun this week!
Busted! Haha I didn't even notice that guy. I'll be out around 6:30pm as well. I believe Curran was still planning on bringing some brats, so I'll pick up some buns. I also recommend bringing a light jacket and a chair/wagon/hatch. I was out for a run around the lake last Friday, and it was pretty chilly on that side. Granted the ice has finally melted from the lake, it will still be cool by the water.
Ditto. I have to drive from MPLS to Ramsey to pick up daughter.... then back to North St Paul, the to MPLS. So maybe 7pm?
I can still bring the charcoal if that is needed and I also have a lighter. Anyone have some lighter fluid for the coals? If not, I can buy some on my way over! I'll be there around 6-6:15.
I'm in... No grill, food, pop, condiments, table, extra chairs, or ambition to cook... Just coming to piss you all off!!!
I went to target after work and they are sold out of charcoal. They did have light fluid so I can bring that. Sorry!!
Dean has no ambition remember. I and glad someone is bringing utensils as my grill needs a good scrub, does anyone have bottled water (for grill washing purpose) ?? I have plates, forks etc., napkins, cupcakes, corn, and some small pork cutlets in my special seasoning/marinade.
For realz? Ok, don't freak out....there is a lot right next to it....just further east....lets meet there.
I think I just drive past someone parked in the lot to the east before I got the memo that Thomas beach was closed. I was in a black LGT. I'm back where you were right now.
Good turnout. Thanks for getting it opened up! Here's a link to the photos I took: http://mnsubaru.com/threads/4-30-2013-mnsubaru-calhoun-meet-photos.42795/
Great photos! I was feeling embarrassed that my wrx still had its winter shoes on, until I looked at the forecast and saw 3" of the white stuff is expected this evening. Anyway I don't have an option as my summer shoes have arrived yet. Great turnout and it was nice to meet some new folks last night!
