Who the hell does that? You're supposed to brief a couple posts, smash your face into the keyboard THEN get pissed or pussy hurt

Alright doods, since no one has made an attempt to coordinate a firm new spot yet, (and I'm actually going to make it this week for the first time in a month) I'm planning on giving Calhoun one more shot tonight. I say we try it again, and worst case, we can migrate to one of the other lots around the lake, or go straight to the bar.

Curry also suggested that we hit up the Old Chicago in Uptown after the meet for some "going away" beers, as that Old Chicago is closing soon. There is a also a mini tour going on now

So I'm planning on Calhoun around 6:30. Weather is perfect! Has anyone been bringing a grill these days?

Dean had a grill the times that I have been there.

Unsure about tonight, might have to do house work instead :(

I'm in agreement that the lot at Calhoun is done. Rolled through there on the bike tonight on be way to OC, and the thugs were in abundance there.

We are going to scout a couple locations, Hidden Falls and Lake Nokomis, this week.

    Locations we discussed at the meet;

    - long lake (off of i694 and i35w)
    - hidden falls/Crosby lake (off of hwy 5 and hwy 62)
    - mill ruins/north loop/bohemian flats (north side of downtown Minneapolis)
    - como park (off of Lexington and Como)
    - northeast park (off of 35w and the quarry shopping center)
    - Theodore Wirth (north Minneapolis/golden valley)
    - mounds park (off of I94 east of downtown St. Paul)
    - minnehaha falls/ lake nokomis (off of hwy 55 and hwy 62)

Ideally we would like to keep it in a central location to accommodate as many people as possible coming from outside of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Opinions are most welcome but please consider travel times for others.

Thanks for posting up the "list" that we discussed. I say that we give Hidden Falls a shot first because it is somewhat central, has nice views, and apparently lots of parking. Can you post up a screenshot/address of one of the larger lots there?

    Damn fine idea Derek

Lets do Long Lake first. All in favor? Lets just make a damn decision. Screw looking around, talking about it/ blah blah blah.

    - long lake (off of i694 and i35w) July 9th 2013
    - hidden falls/Crosby lake (off of hwy 5 and hwy 62)
    - mill ruins/north loop/bohemian flats (north side of downtown Minneapolis)
    - como park (off of Lexington and Como)
    - northeast park (off of 35w and the quarry shopping center)
    - Theodore Wirth (north Minneapolis/golden valley)
    - mounds park (off of I94 east of downtown St. Paul)
    - minnehaha falls/ lake nokomis (off of hwy 55 and hwy 62)

If you look a few posts above, I already suggested we go to Hidden Falls in post #3571 because it is maybe a bit more central...but I'm not going to start a bitching match. You want to start with Long Lake on July 9th, go for it.

Same reason I agreed with Derek is to make it easy. If we start getting everyone's opinion (which are valid) it'll turn into a C.F.

Nah, only my opinion counts!!!! haha jk

Let's make it so, July 9th, Long Lake, start showing up around 6:30-7pm Central Standard time. Can you post up an address and map?

I'll be coming in on a flight that lands at 6:30pm, but I'll probably head straight up to Long Lake.

Long Lake, or NE park would be my top two picks. Not to far for me. Theo is third on the list.
