Hey Guys! Im wondering if any of you that are going to LSPR would have an extra seat in the car for me? I would help pay for gas. I dont trust my car making it all the way there and back. And Im shooting for DirtyImpreza.com. I need to find a way there! If you, or anyone you know is attending, Please let me know! PM / Text / Call is all cool! -Adam 952 594 4473
So can anybody point me in the right direction of stages to go to? I have a lower car and kinda don't wanna go mudding....as of now... Any Help would be greatly appreciated as I've never been before....kinda in the dark about it....which stage is on tarmac? is there one? Thanks
i was checking out the weather, and it look like they are saying 30% chance of snow!!!! i guess ill have to check later this week and see if they up the percentage or what!!! looks like it will be a fun time! http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=houghton,michigan&wuSelect=WEATHER
yea we still need to get tires sorted out. we are for sure bringing a set of medium compound hankook gravels and a set of soft pirelli gravels (good to below freezing temps) but no snows really lined up. Since we're running at the back of the pack we might be able to get away with just the pirellis since the cars before will sweep the course clean (unless it's snowing a lot)
oh yea, i'm getting really pumped! got a second video camera in the car. forward facing plus a fisheye for interior footage
im also getting pumped! i got the rig im riding up there in ready 2 go,now i wish this darn cold would go away!
There is a spectator point on Passmore that at a right at T that's pretty good for Friday. Saturday they are running Delaware 3x this year and you can be guaranteed something interesting will happen at the delta. But you better get to it very very early if you want to park in the same county and have any kind of a view. Of course you can volunteer as a marshal and request either location and not have to worry about fighting for a view of the action. There is a tarmac stage that is run twice but there aren't any spectator points on it. Have fun and dress warm! Check the lspr web page for the spectator guide or to sign up to volunteer. Amy
Yea... I wouldn't count on that! It'll most likely get worse for you as the other cars will pack some snow down and could be screwed with gravels. 100AW 2 years ago comes to mind. Any 2wd cars with gravels on couldn't make it up a hill and the best traction was in the ditch! Find some, that way you won't need them!
So it sounds like Delta is the place to be this year for spectators? I was wondering if anyone has any other input as to where to watch from or is this the best place to be?
Hi dan! yes good input on places to watch would be nice. First time to this rally. hope to see a bunch of you peeps up there.
My Sarah doesn't like it when it gets close to rally time...frankly nobody in my house does. Whether I'm packing my stuff, reviewing videos/notes and supplementals...i can't think about anything else besides..... wait for it..... Rally Rally Rally
im excited LOLti will be in full force as the second service vehicle and the CB should be going in tonight for conversations in transit about important things ^^important thing
^^Aim Higher...So what does speed factor mean? group 2, super production, group N...all these classes...what do they mean....i guess its more of what set up u have on the car
Damnit! We leave tomorrow already don't we?! I still have to find some boots and rain gear then pack a duffle bag full of cabbage, hard boiled eggs, and garlic... StinkTieRally ftw.
Who wants to help banner? Bueller, Bueller? I'm not even banner chief for LSPR and I'm begging for help. Pm me about meet up South of Duluth or meet Kenton at Noon.
again we offer the ziptie crew to help banner....only requirement...they get to bring a video camera with
You can watch all you want on YouTube. So far its only myself and their banner chief for all of Friday's stages. I know he was out past dark last year, even with Andrew and I helping. Good thing they don't have one every tenth of a mile like Ojibwe does.
wish i could come but have been sick all this week so going out in the cold this weekend does not look like a good idea... but then again bad ideas never stopped me before..
I will chase you down the road between banner points with the car to keep you warm. Don't worry I carry a 1st Aid kit, you'll be fine.
go to HQ and get a spectator guide. everything is in there. also talk to bruce, beryl ann or emily at the Rally America Store tent. they know their way around LSPR really well. they will have the guides at the expose on friday and saturday too. here is the spectator guide: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1548767/2009_LSPR Spectator Guide.pdf
