Give me a time and location and I'm there. Getting things together already, folding chairs, cooler, pizza delivery guy on standby, all the required things.
From the way it looks for the stages, I think a meet Saturday evening would be best. Stages are done around 5:30pm and are at most about 50 miles out of Houghton depending on which stages you stay to watch. I'll make some phone calls tonight to find out what the best plan would be with my contacts up there. Anyone else have any specific plans that would need to be worked around?
Sadly I will not be out there until the weekend of November 5th. I have far too much work to do this week so I had to cancel my vacation so as not to get so far behind that I couldn't get back out. October has become a VERY busy month for me. So I'll still be heading up there, but unfortunately well after the rally :cry: This will be the first LSPR I've missed since 1998.
I'll have a MNSubaru club thing in my rear window. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn express. I'm heading up through Duluth, leaving S. St. Paul around 5:00 pm on thursday. I'll be at Hinkley around 6:30. Sorry to hear your not going to be there Rallynavvie, would have been fun to watch with someone who has seen the run so many times.

I'm going to be crewing for Jon Rek in a grp A Evo 6.5 so I'll probably be busy fixing the car but hopefully I'll get out with the guys and see everyone. I'm so excited to be crewing for these guys, the car is absolutely awesome and soooo fast. I know I'm going to get a ride in the thing so I can't wait to go. I'm actually going to try to get there on Thursday around 4-5. See you guys later!
Very best of luck, I hope he does well and I hope you get a chance to ride that bad mother. You'll have to tell us what it's like hanging on for dear life while sliding sideways around a corner on dirt at 100mph just missing trees on one side and the lake on the other...have fun.
HAHAHA!!! I'm going to try to convince him to give me a ride. I know I'll definitely have the vid camera in hand. I guess it's unbelieveably fast. I think he paid around 250,000 to have it prepared for rally. So it's a crazy crazy beast. I'll post pics for sure

Haha, yeah, I can't wait for a ride. I'm also super happy because he's paying for all my expenses (gas to get there, hotel, food, etc... :shock: )
Hey guys, sorry I missed you at KBC on Saturday. Ended up grilling out with some friends who live up there and then went to The Lights for a while. Rally was sweet though! Hope you all had a great time.
Had a great time, a bit wet but that's part of the deal. The GF and a coujple friends ha afew pints at KBC on Saturday then went over to the Library. Just missed the food. Oh well, next time.
