So Its been quite some time since I was in a subaru, I Just purchased a 08 Legacy 2.5i. I'm looking to do a few things with the car my question first off does the GT goodies fit on standard package. Such as exhaust systems (cat-back) ect. When I had my 95 Leg I put on a GT front and rear bumper. But since the car is 13 years newer didn't know if they changed much between GT and I models. I looked through several pages and didn't see a post for this. If its a re post my apologies. Here is what I purchased:
Yup, seconding legacygt.com. There is a treasure trove of fitment and general modification knowledge to be had.
From what I've found most cat back systems for the GT are 3 inches shorter then just the 2.5i and of course the headers are different. But every exhaust shop I've talked to said thats a no problem modification. As far as suspension wheels and brakes they should all be the same. Transmissions I am unsure of, I think the LGT's came in 6 speed so as far as I know it wouldnt match up. Other exterior mods such as bumpers, spoilers, ect should be the same as well as long as they are the same year range 05-07 had a different bumper then 08-09. Hopefully some of this helps!
