    Hi,

I recently drove from Milwaukee to the Twin Cities and about half way through, a little while after refilling with gas, my car started to run like crap and made a high pitch rattling sound under load. I tried to baby it home, but I'm expecting the worst and unfortunately, it is out of warranty. Has anybody here had engine work done on their STi and can recommend a shop, preferably near New Brighton? Should I just bring it to the dealership in White Bear Lake?

    Thanks!

PM driftin240 or subytek, they are both subaru techs and do lots of engine work.

Thanks! I PM'ed both of them.

After thinking about the problem some more, it sounds like it could be something in the turbo that is rattling/spinning because it happens only under boost... It would be nice if it was just a blown turbo, but I don't have tools up here to take a look myself. :(
