so this past weekend, i swap out my kyb strut/spring combo to a oem set on my 02 bugeye for the winter. as i was taking out the front pass strut, i notice my lower endlink bulge looking thing was loose/completely off. i couldnt put it back in so i rotate it clock wise and manage to push it in. i put everything back together and now my alignment is off. is it because of the endlink? it was fine with the kyb's but why would an oem set of strut will throw it off. any help will be greatly appreciate.

if you didn't clock the eccentric bolts on the front struts, your camber will be off.

Also, if your springs are a different height between the 2 sets, that'll effect camber and toe.

Idget basically got the nail right on the head already. I always align my car after spring/strut installs. Even when you mark the bolt, can still impact your camber. I don't worry about camber, but I do worry about toe.

Loose end-links/sway bar swaps should not impact your alignment. It the bolt on the end-link its loose, you may hear some squeaks/clicks on bumps. My old STi had this issue. I have bought 2 Subaru with broken end-links, and one with loose ones. So, always good to check them out.

How did you "rotate it"? The endlink? When the car is lifted off the ground and no weight is on the suspension, it can be difficult to get the sway bars and endlinks to match up. Did you reattached your endlink upside down? Lol. Posting a pic might help...unless you already got the issues figured out.

Yep, put on the snow set and saw this again. I used a jack to align it and push it in but seems like the endlink is history. Comes off way to easily.
