The only time I've seen an event stopped was in a thunder storm with some pretty serious lightning. Events run rain or shine, and I even remember one about 3 or 4 years ago that ran with a slight smattering of snow on the ground.

When I went to the Novice School, we had rain for half the day and blazing sunshine for the other half. It was great, since you essentially got to learn the skills in two completely different sets of conditions all in one day.

    Don't be!

It's non-competitive so there's no pressure to perform well.

The venue is a little tight, but the course is set up with safety in mind.

Just listen to the instructors and have fun!

I can't wait, I got my wife signed up for this one and it will be the first time the car is on track. Hopefully she'll love it and decide to co-drive the season with me.

Do we need helmets and what not?

That sucks! We've been postponed for about an hour now, due to lightning. Group 2 is just now hitting the track, an hour late.

Feeling a bit better now. Going to try some fluids.

Really ****ing upset that I had to get that sick today of all days. If I thought I could've made the drive over to St Paul this morning without having to stop road-side I'd be there.

    :(

thx. I was going to ask about making the second half of the day, but I still feel pretty crappy, and I doubt it would mix well with all the adrenaline if I came. I would gladly brave the rain and cold for the fun, though.

How's the track? On paper, it looked like it could be pretty fun, depending on the spacing of the turns.

Are you guys still getting some speed through it, or is it just too wet?

The rain may affect 2-3 seconds the track seems to be set up for 30 second laps if you smooth enough and take all the corners right.... my best have been low 35's my second time out I'm hoping to shave it down to 33's, maybe......

You looked really good in the turns, what were your times? My best was 35.2, but I'm going to use the bald tire in rain excuse. this guy I know with a ford probe got in the 32's. :eek4: It was a lot of fun and I definitely learned a lot. Drag racing sounds boring now.

I have some videos, but only 2 subaru's. I'll post them sometime today.
