Hwy 101/I-94 in Rogers
Description: Construct overpass from I-94 westbound to Hwy 101 northbound over South Diamond Lake Road in Rogers. Update existing guardrail and drainage systems from the Crow River to 1.6 miles east of Hwy 101; Also Lighting System Replacement at I-94 & Hwy 101 in Rogers, and resurfacing from Rogers to Maple Grove

Construction Dates: April 2010 - Fall 2010



Hwy 24 Clear Lake
Description: Reconstruct concrete road surface and shoulders, upgrade intersections
Construction Dates: June 10to mid-November
Impacts: Throughout various stages of construction there will be Lane shifts, two-way traffic on EB Hwy 10, delays, Detour Map
News:

• Beginning shortly after the 4th of July holiday motorists will encounter two-way traffic on the eastbound lanes of Highway 10. This switch will allow crews to construct new concrete pavement on the westbound lanes.
  
• A month-long detour of Highway 24 in Clear Lake will also begin shortly after July 4. Northbound Highway 24 traffic will be routed to Church Street, Market Street and 1st Avenue. Southbound Highway 24 motorists will be routed via 1st Avenue and State Street. Detour Map

If it helps at all I did course work for all the CRA events last year...

 

we may need some assistance. feel free to find the guys in the bright green MAP shirts at the event at either the road course, or the autox course, and I'm sure they will find somewhere to put you to work

 

I will be taking a detour so I won't be anywhere near I-94. =P

Great news guys, Brainerd just informed us that there will be a price adjustment for this weekends drag racing. The price change will be $25 for the weekend for the drag racing. They want everyone to get their money worth. So even if we see a couple of sprinkles on Saturday, everyone will still be able to get out and make up for it on Sunday!

Also, the AutoX, Drifting, and the Road Course will all be run rain or shine! So everyone get out there early and let's make this a great time!!!

Does BIR take credit/debit cards, or do they want cash for entry fees?

 

they do indeed take credit/debit for both entry and gate fees.

 

when do we have to be sign up for the road course

 

pre-registration isn't required... if you want to you can show up the day of and get on. we just did it to get a rough idea for what to expect. if you're thinking about coming go ahead and pre-register so that we have all of your information!

 

^^^ earlier in the thread it mentions a mandatory driver's meeting for the road course - what time will that be? If we get there late can we still check in with someone to get the info and get on course?

just a heads up to anyone coming out tonight. if you camp tonight, friday, it will be an extra $5. so $25 for the whole weekend or. $5 friday, $10 saturday, $10 sunday.

Just got back from the hotel. Had a awesome day of auto-x and watching lots of racing. See you all again tomorrow!

 

yesterdays numbers were great. the event looks much, much larger then last year.

to everyone looking to head out today. it is a little moist this morning, but the forecast shows it to stop raining by 10:00, the BIR guy said they need about an hour to prep the track, and we will start working on qualifying. we will qualify from 11-2, then eliminations for 2-5

all the road course and drifting stuff will go on as planned

 

Any pictures? I'm interested in seeing how those Chimera decals that we made looked on their cars.
