Hey Guys! At Minnesota State University, Mankato our SAE club is having a car show this spring. The show is Sunday, May 1st from 1-5pm. We are having the car show to bring the community together and show what our Automotive Engineering Technology program is all about. A few of our student projects will be on display along with all the entries! It only costs $10 to enter your vehicle, free to look, and there will be food, games, and live music! Also, your business can donate to the car show for just $30! For $30 you would be purchasing a trophy with your business name on it and be able to present it to the car of your choice at the show. For more info check out the website and registration is already open. www.msucarshow.com If any plan on coming we'd appreciate pre-registering!
Sounds fun. I think whoever wants to go we should meet up somewhere in the cities and cruise to Mankato
totally down fora cruise but if its nice i might be taking something other then the subie down there!
I'm going to add this to the list of car shows I have. Sounds cool. It would be nice to hit up a show requires a nice drive. Depending on weather, I may drive something other than the suby.
for those of you coming down for it wanting a drive better than 169, drive CR-40 to CR-6 to and from Belle Plaine down to LeSeur
Haha. Thanks for the encouragment. I'm transfering so I'm not too worried. Just waiting to hear back from them
I say we meet in Front of the valley fair parking lot or in the lot at 1030 am and leave at 1045 to head down to kato.... What people think about that.
Bad idea. MAC will be hosting an autox in that lot Saturday and Sunday... unless the lot is still flooded.
Almost forgot about this. I'll make sure nothing else is happening this Sunday before committing to it. What other place would be good to meet-up at, and will someone that knows the fun route be there?
Ok the car show starts at 1pm on sunday. I say we meet at the lowes posted above around 1030 and leave at 1050ish. what do people think???
if it was not on Mayday i'd be down for a drive. but mayday is too much fun to miss. maybe next year they'll pick a better weekend for me.
4, and it wasnt bad though best import should have gone to a better can and worst driver needed to go to the s2000 driver! rofl
There's always gotta be one... You'd think he would stop trying to hoon around after tanking it into the curb on his first try. You'd think wrong, but that's what you'd think.
no i didnt get any pics, there were a couple of good cars but alot that werent worth it. The show was much smaller then what they were expecting i think. less then 5 nice classic/muscle cars, no really nice new muscle cars and only 3 nice import cars. the one nice subie (not counting the white sti cuz he wasnt registered) and the 2 s2000s. as for how bad it was, there was a s/c gto with the intake filter was actually resting against the block. there was an late 80s chevy truck with the intake filter actually sticking outside the car where the driver headlight was supposed to be. "lil jon" one of the white s2000s lost control of his car and curbed his car pretty hard. there was a gtp stock with a bottle of NOS in the trunk. the winner of import class was a stock a4 lowered on 19"s i dont know who rigged that one. there was a stratus with a spoiler like from an old 2.5rs and an intake that looked horrible. many mustangs that were just stock of only intake and exhaust (made me think i should have entered mine then!) there was just alot of cars that i thought should not be in a car show cuz they are not show cars. prolly less then 10 of the cars there were show worthy i think. ricekillers meet tonight was better then the show.
Missed the RKC meet tonight. I showed up right at 9:30, just in time to watch the last stragglers filter out. Next time!
