    Hi,
Does anybody have any technical diagrams, technical knowledge, or any information on how to set up the mechanical assembly of the electric driver side window on the 2002 subaru impreza wrx.

This morning, There was an angle tilt pertruding the black rubber part on the imnpreza,
Slid the window down to correct it,
slid it up to bring it up and it was still protruding,
    slid it back down,
metallic click like the bolt broke off,
    now the window is stationary.
Engine rotor runs but no mechanical moving parts.

What I did so far is that tI removed the interior plastic frame to see what was happening inside and it seems like the mechanical assembly connect broke off from the metallic "inner" frame of the door.
Window is still in good condition, no break.
the rails are in ok condition,
the tough part is the mechanical moving assembly,
    thats the complicated part.
I need to peice together the mechanical assembly and then find some way to weld the piece or the bolt back onto the door.

anybody know how to remove the internal frame to get into the inside.
i'll send pics in the next 24 hours.

Right now its rigged 3/4 of the way to the top closure.

    rain on wednesday.
    some help please,

    thanks

Both my '02 WRX and my '97 Impreza had the window regulator bolts come loose and fall into the door with the symptoms you describe. Look at the bottom of the door for the loose bolts. Then you will need to raise and lower the window to line up the mechanism and the door holes (with the interior panel removed). Its not too bad...

How bout some lock tite Subaru?

I accidentallly bumped apart the mechanical assembly,

the metallic spring circular restriction check fell out.

    yikes

no rubber belts but metallic gearing teeth can be felt when i stick my hand inside.

AHHH you have to work through the holes!!? I don't think you can take the internal frame off. My wagon did that to me two bolts came loose and it started to roll up tilted. Just take off the panel and find and replace the bolts. It helps if you have two people because you need to hold the window in place against where the bars cross. There is also a little plastic track piece, make sure you line it up with that.

Common issue with WRX's. I would check all the Regulator mounting bolts in the other doors before the same thing happens to them. Pull them out one at a time, and apply some Loctite. It's a life saver for you inner door panel and regulator.

You'll probably need a new regulator the way it is, unless you already got a new one. The old one is probably all bent and mangled from the motor torque. Weld washers into the door to reinforce it where the metal is bent from the old bolts.

    ok

    mission incomplete,
but i got the window in a secure position,
i think i may need another man for the job.

what happened was the white rail liners or regulator popped out,
there are 2 white plastic rail liners that connects with the motor,
it is on a vertical liner and that liner is connected onto a horizontal liner on the motor.
i'm having some serious issues with the liner on the right side, i have to "plasticly" jam it in at such a tight space.
the main bolt connector which connects the motor needs a big washer to secure it onto the already open plunge hole on the interior metallic frame,
i got a rubber stopper in which i need to dice it at 1/12 of an inch,
foolish of me, i should've have gotten a big metallic washer,
    lmao

i got the motor remounted on and secure,
    lined the window up,
and unplugged the power connector to the motor,
i got to take a deep breath,
ask for a help from the legendary fuji_k and postpone the repair operation for another day.

    the window is fully up,

    i'll continue on another day,

    thanks guys

Looks like I join this club tommorow :(
Drivers side window isn't working right anymore...something come lose.
Hope I don't need new anything other than a bolt or two, cause I have a trip to chicago planned for this weekend, and going through tolls with a non-working window would be kinda...:ugh::mad:
