how hard would it be to install and tune this? Has anyone had any experiance with this and is it pretty used friendly? (teaching myself how to tune a little bit? or would i be better off getting an emanage? i dont know if i want to go piggyback or dive right into standalone. this will be running a EJ18t and basically the only thing i dont have lined up is EM. All thoughts and suggestions welcome. thanks jake
As far as I've seen to date, nobody has written the firmware to decode the Subaru triggers. The people that have made it work have been using the Ford EDIS setup. Personally, I think the 'squirt is still a crude system. Yes it does work, but its also pretty rough around the edges. 12 X 12 tables do not give you a whole lot of resolution. But it all depends on how aggressive you want to go. If you've ever played around with an actual standalone system, you'll know where that extra money went. But they are cheap though. That is the plus. And you can always get rid of it and get most of your money back.
emanage and piggyback in the same sentence i would assume that means greddy emanage blue.......wich last time i checked is a 300 dollar piggyback.
squirt is a solid system, but its not an easy route by any means either nor is it as in depth as other options
thanks im going with the emanage blue because of the lack of money, and im not going to exceed the capabilities of it any time soon. thanks for the input
Im not trying to be mean, but i think youre just wasting your money. you should wait till you can find a standalone for the right price. just my opinion. also its not that you wont exceed its capabilitys,,its that your stock ecu will eventually learn to work around the piggyback. theres plenty of forums on nasioc specifically about why you shouldnt bother.
