driftin240 - could you look up how much it is for a 98 RS, IAC and does the gasket piece come with it? PCV Valve, and front and rear 02 sensor. That should be all.

I've checked at autozone and it's $309.xx for the IAC and then I checked at our local Subaru dealership and it cost $311.xx then I called in at the BP Subaru and this lady said that it's $311.xx but with the 20% it's around $249.xx. I also know that the 02 sensors are costy.

But a little off topic. If the rear 02 sensor messes up and if the front 02 sensor is still okay, it's not a big problem right? or does it still make the car eat up a lot of gas?

It can effect your driveability.... and how do you know that it's just the rear one that went bad.

Because CEL came on, used OBDII code reader thingy, had my CEL papers, looked it up and it says rear 02 sensor but it not important.

IAC will be fine I'm guessing but what's the price on the front 02 sensor, including tax, and with 20% off. I f'en seriously need one because i get like 15mpg city!!!

Drifter 240 - Does BP Subaru have a stock fog light switch assembly for an '06 WRX Wagon in stock?

How much are they w/ MNSubaru discount?

I'm adding a light bar and want a 2nd stock switch to trigger the relay for the 2nd set of lights.

My Dad should be in for the warranty radio replacement on his '06 Legacy Wagon as soon as the new one comes in. Maybe I can get him to pick this up for me if you have one. I'll remind him to ask for MNSubaru club discount.

    Thanks, Amy

Over the weekend my windshield washer died, The pump is ok i believe and we think there is a short in the wiring. At least thats what the multimeter told us.

I am planning on bringing it in to get looked at. and wanted to know if you could give me an estimate of how long (hours?) it would take to go through the wiring to find the short or other cause for the washer not to work.

Need to try and plan ahead around work.

    thanks,
    Shaun

i am assuming the motor is working cause i bought a new to replace the oem one and the new also made no sound, that is why i am assuming it is in the wiring or maybe the switch.

when we put the multimeter to it we got a reading of about .06V to the front motor compared to 22 or 11V (cant remember) when checking the rear motor.
    (i have a wagon).

22v, I think not. 12v possibly, but not 22v. That sounds like you have a bad switch. Try hooking up a 9v to the pump. If that works, then you know it's bad wiring.

Head Gaskets? On a 2.2L....are you new? They very rarely go, and why would yours go if AWDl's haven't gone yet. Stop smokin that wacky stuff, and just fix your oil leaks. I would believe valve cover gaskets, a rear access cover and a rear main seal....but not the head gaskets. More than likely an oil pump re-seal, and a cam seal or two....along with both of the cam o-rings.

Sent this in a PM to AWDimprezaL then found this thread so I'll repost...

was wondering if you had these mats:

    https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/p...roducts_id=133
..or really anything winter-suited for my '06 WRX TR, if these are an old part or something.

Also, is there a trunk mat for the sedan variant? on subarugenuineparts I only see one for the wagon. Something sticky to keep stuff from flying around on that carpet.

Yes, they carry the all weather floor mats.

There's no US sedan trunk mat. You can order the JDM version but it's spendy. You can also but the wagon mat back there but there will be a gap of about an inch all the way around.

Brian, Ive been looking at various threads about the rear struts in the Sti (mine is an 04) got it used out at BP. The rear struts clunk, and bounce alot, at times it doesn't feel safe. The car has 67k on it right now, is there any recall on the struts that I havn't gotten taken care of, or could they be covered under warrenty? if it's the struts that is. Also the shifter rattles some, Ive had people suggesting replacing bushings, just wondering if any of the techs have any idea, I got the car at the end of Oct. (Silver 04 Sti)

There is no recall for the STi struts or mounts...nor is there a TSB about it. I know from prior experience that it's the tops themselves that make noise, but it won't fix it just to throw tops in it. Normally you have to replace both the tops and the struts. STi struts are very expensive and I wouldn't recommend you buy them, unless you want the same problems again. Buy some KYB AGX's, and some new mounts.

It's not really a warranty issue unless your under 3/36... Or you have some sort of extended warranty.

As far as the shifter bushings go, I haven't heard any complaints about the Kartboy one's.
