So I installed the mishimoto radiator in my 02 wrx 2.0 and the passenger fan was hitting the bottom of my top radiator hose. I guess the mishimoto radiator is a little taller then stock. I checked everything and the connections and seatings are good.
Anyone had the same problem? And what was your route? Wondering if local auto shop will have a top radiator hose that will arch up from engine to radiator?

Also anyone has extra bolts laying around? Size same as bolts that holds radiator reserve tank. I will pay! The more the merrier!

Glock_Turbo, Thanks for posting up! We are sorry you have fitment issues at this time. You will definitely want to inspect the bushings that hold the radiator in place to ensure they are seated properly. Did you have any fitment problems with the fan shroud? You are more than welcome to contact us directly to troubleshoot this via email.

    Thanks!

Wow! I love u guys now! I talked to another customer service and she told me that due to the thickness of the radiator I would have to trim the front top hose. That some cars and mine have this issue. Thanks for the reply and concern!

I did the same, pretty common when going to an aftermarket radiator.

Ok yesterday I changed my thermostat (oem) and jingle pin up, bottom radiator hose, added mishimoto 1.3 radiator cap and added 1gal (2gal with water mix) of subaru long life coolant/antifrz. At first I thought it was just coolants I spilled burning off, so I let it run for awhile after I drove it for 7 miles on 40-55mph. It seems like a white mist type smoke. But it would also kind of burn or make my eyes teary when I'm near it trying to see the cause. It's coming out on the top corner driver side just below my radiator cap of my mishimoto radiator.
It didn't do that before I changed what I mentioned. Before, the temp was just going up and down and a small leak from bottom hose. Any ideas? Mishimoto?

Put your stock rad cap back on and see what that does.

That's what I thought and tried, but Mines a 02 bugeye, so it doesn't have front cap anyways, that line is caped off, so the mishimoto cap is mainly for looks. I'm still using the stock lines and cap from the fill tank near turbo to reservoir.

So then is it actually leaking out from the new rad itself, near a weld or something? If so that would seem like a defect in the rad itself, maybe take some pics or video and post them here, then maybe the Mishimoto account can chime in :)

You could drain the coolant into a nice clean tub then pressure test with a free to rent kit from autozone. It goes on the rad cap.
