From watching on tv it looked like they put in a fairly solid effort finally. I'm not sure what the situation is but they generally seem to have no drive, no determination.

Saw a dgm 08-09 wrx sedan w/steelies and I think spt exhaust heading into and outta our same parking area.

If anyone else is going to tonights game pull a toy from your mnsubaru toys for tots pile and bring it to the game, they are taking them at the gates.

Pretty sad we put the only two toys in the box at the entrance we went in. Turned out to be one hell of a game though! Its nice to see them put a few wins together.

Anyone else see the ref picking his nose and wearing glasses during the goal review last night? Its funny I can pick Russ out from any spot in the arena.

Probably one of the most epic big screen shots I have ever seen in there. Mad props to the guys that were quick enough to try and put glass's on the guy. And VERY impressed that the in-house camera guy stayed on that shot and even went back to it again after they picked the ref's nose the first time.

Also, Butch and Brent were scoping out the hot chicks all night in the pressbox with binoculars. It was funny. Brent would find someone, then pass the binocs to Butch and he would point it out to them. Then they were picking on Russo, so I asked Russo if that is what they were doing and Russo confirmed.

So does it mean that you spend too much time at the rink when the ushers go out of their way to say hi to you??

I went to the game on new years eve against LA. It wasn't a very good game to watch other than the fights. Had great tickets 10th row right next to the ice crew. Would rather of had tickets at the other end but since all of the action was around the wild goal that night it ended up being the place to be. $8.00 for a beer or $4.00 for a water... tough choice haha

We are planning accordingly, going to have a few before the game before they are $8.

good plan. If it is your 1st game, it is kinda fun to get there a bit early and watch the guys warm up. Have fun!

Nice gift! what section are you in? I've got Russ's seats(WRX1)sec 112 that night.

This. We always get there early and do a lap around the place just to check things out. I'll give you a scavenger hunt. find my wifes name. (hint)#1863 on the puck wall. And its not a monster truck show, stay in your seats until a break in the action. Same thing for returning to your seats from the concourse(the ushers will remind you) have fun!

I'm going to my annual Flames game on the 6th. Go Calgary![IMG]
You can assume the Wild will lose that night. They have never beat the Flames when I've been at the game.

We are in section 207, row 2. Should be decent seats, we had similar ones for one of the WCHA final 5 tournaments.

Cory Campbell. He is part of one of the casino's (iirc mystic), so for him, money is not much of a issue. He does have the the whole first row and part of the 2nd row. We talked to him on the Pheonix road trip a couple of years back.

Yeah, they are gonna get whooped.

Of the 7 home losses this season, I've been there for 3 or 4 of them. Since I've got tix (110, row 5 w00t!) to the the Flames game, I'm going to assume they will lose again.

Interesting game. Pens missed quite a few solid opportunities, then again we missed a couple too but got lucky on a couple others. Decent game though. I thought clutterbuck was going to fight. Latendress (sp?) has been turning out to be quite the trade:laugh:. Havlat is an amazing player but damn, stop always looking for the pass and shoot the puck.

Anyone go to hockey unplugged? We're going tonight and received vouchers for autographs. Will they sign whatever or do they hand out pictures or something? I have a koivu mug I'd like signed.

Clutterbuck/Gonchar got a bit heated there at the end, and every time Gonchar touched the puck the whole place boo-ed, pretty funny actually. It really wasn't that exciting of a game, not to say I didn't have a lot of fun. If Fleury playing any better would have made it hard for the Wild. A lot of luck on half the goals last night for each team.

Got my mug signed. It was a little weird, I think Koivu was more interested in the rangers game than being there but I can't really blame him. There were people there from 1pm, crazy.

I'm toying with the idea of going.

Word on the street is that both Sykora and Earl were put on waivers this morning. However, my work blocks twitter so I haven't been able to verify it yet.

Yes, they are both on waivers and it looks like Burns is back to practice. Which could be part of the reason for the waiver moves.

We will be at the skill competition on Sunday. It is always a good time and you get to see the players have a bit more fun and screw around a bit. There has always been some good chuckles in years past.

^^^Cool. Yeah we'll be there. I bought tickets in december that came with tickets in a suite for the skills thingy, It also inlcuded a team yearbook and a meet and greet with Todd Richards and Chuck Fletcher not a bad deal for just buying a couple tickets.

We brought a bunch o pucks to be signed at the skills competition first we grabbed Housley, Ramsey, Broten then we went to Backstrom, Harding, earl. My wife got Nolan, Schultz, Johnsson and Sheppard. even with the amount it travels around I've never seen the stanley cup so that was kinda neat, the events were kinda fun too.

We just had Cal sign a couple of programs from last season. It is kinda funny when we put them down on the table, he just looked at them, then looked at us, then looked at the programs again. The wild guy that was at his table was pretty impressed that we still had them. We got to talk to them for about 5 minutes before we had to move along. Kinda nice when you show them that you are not those "ZOMG IT IS CAL!!!!" fans.

    It's hockey time again!

Is anyone going to the game next tues 3/9? They are handing out the last patch of the year and I'm not going. I've got the first five so I'm looking to get the last to complete the set. I'll trade for one of each of patch #2,3,4,5 for one of #6. pretty please? :)

I'll take you up on that. We're missing one or two I think. Exchange info in PM?

Seats are going up again next year and for those in the lower ends/corners pricing will be difference depending on which side of the ice you sit on (wild attack once vs attack twice). Lovely.
