i strongly suggest Chaska town course to everyone. tiger played there a couple times before he played at Hazeltine. its just awesome! and very challanging. the traps there are really tough. its like a country club. i really suggest not going to baker this season at least.... their greens are so slow its like your putting on short fairway. the layout was pretty cool but the greens need tons of work. i work at brokview golf course and our condidtions are almost perfect right now for any of the city courses. if you call our event line and talk to Kim she can set up a small outing for us. could be anywere from 8-100 people 763-512-2300
Best so far this year 77 @ Mississippi National (Lowlands Tournament course) I grew up in Chaska, the Town course is pretty nice for a city course. my best 9 this year was 39 on the front, then followed up with something like a 48 on the back for an 87. Just had a "Golf Week" with a buddy of mine. We'd go out every day to get the best deals on the local courses. Usually around $25 for 18 with cart before 10-11am. One was $18/18 walking and one was $17/18holes with cart. had a pretty good time. started off hot with that 87, then had to find my swing again and I don't think I broke 90 the rest of the week.
yeah ive been getting out at least 3-4 times a week all summer. its free for me at brookview and i can usually get comped at other places depending on who i talk to. this season has been pretty tough for me. having a hard time staying in the 80s. i hope its not the new clubs i bought this year. they might be a little too aggressive for me.
just shot a 39 on the front at Brookview. felt pretty good. didnt have enough sunlight to play 18... i wanted to keep going so bad. no birdies....3 bogies.... 6 pars. not too bad.
if 3 other people want to come play brookview on thursday next week. i can make the tee time. i know where all the trouble is at my course so i can kinda help with yardage and keeping out of the sand/water/trees. let me know. i can also get us dibs on most of the good times to play. it cost $19 for nine holes. only $15 after 6:30pm but thats not a good time because we might not get all 9 holes in. let me know!

I had a 39 on a front 9 once this year. Maybe one other score around 40. As for 18 holes - nothing consitent so I doubt I shot in the lower 80s at all. Maybe upper 80s at best. Lately the game fell apart. Can't hit my driver, hitting a lot of fat shots with irons. So I'm putting the clubs away for the year.
I need to get to the range before the snow is gone... My driver was terrible my rookie year, hoping for a better sophomore season!
There was a club demo day at the heated outdoor range this past weekend. I demo'd the nike victory red driver and a ping g15. They also had mizuno, wilson, calloway and 3 or 4 others that I didn't get to. Man, my swing is rusty! Last March I played here in Rochester on the 3rd weekend - it hit 60 degrees and I drove the ball better that day than the rest of the summer.
My work league is in it's 3rd week. Started out rusty, but now I've gone an average of 3 times per week for the last month or so, it's starting to come back. Last week I nailed a 349yrd drive - yeah it was wind aided 20mph, but still! Unfortunately, my short game is still suffering and I think I managed to make bogey.
