Not a problem. It doesn't take that much time to do. We're talking maybe a half hour of my life this week spent typing in this thread.
Thanks for the heads up about the b-spec mode wins... very helpful! There is a pretty big difference between the Eurosport and the RS. about 20hp more for the RS model. I've been playing with some of the hosting settings, it looks like the only time you can choose a specific car for the whole group is if said car is in the arcade mode listings. otherwise, you can place restrictions on minimum weight, maximum hp, and tire.
Well, in all honesty, I think setting max power and min weight would probably be the best bet then. Then if people have the lower powered Vitz they can do minor mods to get up to spec with the RS model. That should level the field pretty well. I suppose going forward that may be the best way to go about it. That way if you have a modded car, you can still compete, and setting a max power value and allowing some mods for people that wish to even up the power difference.
You're lucky number 13. BTW, you get the car for this race by winning the Sunday Cup. Shouldn't be too hard. Just make sure you score enough cash to get the tires you want for it.
LOl I had it last night, I had everything I needed for today before I went to sleep. I've been shredding the tires off of my TVR cerbera most of the morning.
Remember everyone, the lobby opens at 8:30pm, and might be open sooner since I'm feeling like some GT action here pretty soon
Be advised that on the vitz (or any car for that matter) an oil change and/or engine rebuild WILL give you extra HP - even if it has 0 miles on the clock. It is not a ton, but if we set a max HP at the regular HP of the Vitz Eurosport Edition, it could bump your car too high - unless you compensate, readymix.
So how many oil changes can I get away with? (nice "simulation" by the way PD) I have yet to drive it 'cause I don't want to wear out my new tires.
Pushy through a proxy with a hardcoded DNS address? Anywho, I added everyone from the first post. We'll see what happens.
So does this car come with a turbo and whatnot? I don't recall ever driving it, but it has a midrange turbo kit with ecu tuning on it?
Alright, found out that my brother borrowed the game and put that crap on mine. Heh. Down to 88 after changing the oil.
Yep, Comcast is having a DNS outage or something, I can get to MNSubaru, but that's about it. All other sites are unreachable, and PSN wont sign in.
Just the shibber an I in there. I need Jason's musk. **** comcast. I think there is a thread about that on t3hw00t.
google free public DNS for the win. See instructions here: http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ You can can the DNS settings in the PS3 under the network settings as well. I doubt everyone is going to be able to change it, but damn, being on the internet now while everyone else is out is blazing fast!
You may want to cut and paste it, as anyone having the problem is not going to be able to see that site.
sorry im not on right now, im having some major issues with my internet, i just got on here, but my PS3 still says i have some DNS error so idk what the **** is going on
What is Google Public DNS? Google Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider. To try it out: Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers or Read our configuration instructions. If you decide to try Google Public DNS, your client programs will perform all DNS lookups using Google Public DNS. Why does DNS matter? The DNS protocol is an important part of the web's infrastructure, serving as the Internet's phone book: every time you visit a website, your computer performs a DNS lookup. Complex pages often require multiple DNS lookups before they start loading, so your computer may be performing hundreds of lookups a day. Why should you try Google Public DNS? By using Google Public DNS you can: Speed up your browsing experience. Improve your security. Get the results you expect with absolutely no redirection.
Changing your DNS servers settings Because the instructions differ between different versions/releases of each operating system, we only give one version as an example. If you need specific instructions for your operating system/version, please consult your vendor's documentation. You may also find answers on our user group. Many systems allow you to specify multiple DNS servers, to be contacted in a priority order. In the following instructions, we provide steps to specify only the Google Public DNS servers as the primary and secondary servers, to ensure that your setup will correctly use Google Public DNS in all cases. Note: Depending on your network setup, you may need administrator/root privileges to change these settings. Microsoft Windows DNS settings are specified in the TCP/IP Properties window for the selected network connection. Example: Changing DNS server settings on Microsoft Windows 7 Go the Control Panel. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, and click Change adapter settings. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example: To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection, and click Properties. To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection, and click Properties. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window. Click OK. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Restart the connection you selected in step 3. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Testing your new settings below. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change. Mac OS X DNS settings are specified in the Network window. Example: Changing DNS server settings on Mac OS 10.5 From the Apple menu, click System Preferences, then click Network. If the lock icon in the lower left-hand corner of the window is locked, click the icon to make changes, and when prompted to authenticate, enter your password. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example: To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, select Built-In Ethernet, and click Advanced. To change the settings for a wireless connection, select Airport, and click Advanced. Select the DNS tab. Click + to replace any listed addresses with, or add, the Google IP addresses at the top of the list: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Click Apply and OK. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Testing your new settings below. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change.
If you are advanced enough to figure out how to change your DNS, it shouldn't be that tough for you on the PS3... so what's the room that everyone is in? fyi: my PSN id is TMFDelt
idk this aint workin on the PS3 its not letting me apply it, it only gives me the option to cancel or edit, i cant apply it
^^if you got into network settings, then set up a network connection, choose custom. then keep scrolling to the right until you get to DNS, and select manual. enter in google's DNS, then click ok, then keep scrolling to the right, until you can't anymore, and click ok...should give you an option to test the connection...
I can't log in thanks for the car Adam. I'll gift it back to you since I can't even open the gift let alone sign in.
The first race was simply to test the theory. We can set HP limits, weight limites, all that ****. So it may be a bit more fast and loose in the future. If you didn't make it, don't worry, there was no prize or anything for winning (or losing). YOu did however miss out on all the MarioKart bumperboats action.
yeah, we did... through nothing but pure and concentrated driver rage. "GO UP THE HILL DAMN IT!" We should chose a car, or limits ASAP so you can have the rest of the week to build it up for sunday
I feel much better now that it wasn't only my computer that took a crap last night. I'll try to get in on the next one.
I had a good time, however the boss said it was bed time, anyone else down for some ****ing around tonight, say around 8?
