you should photoshop the edge of the wall out on the first one. what kind of lighting were you working with?
they havent been worked on yet, large windows indoors with cloudy daylight, main cam was a nikon D2X running a strobe but I was just using the ambient light doing backup stuff on my D70
i love my digital but my gf is a conventional freak. she says it take more talent because you cant mess with the photo.
for the photographers here i guess we could start a thread for us MNsubaru photo nerds. looking at the other recent thread with the firebird and the bridge makes me want to post some too. everyone join in. make sure their your photos though! really recent shoot a lava lamp! some smoke shots i took with a really ghetto setup PPing test
my still life and experimental shots /\ /\ /\ im trying to expand my skills ive been doing more automotive shots but in the winter its hard to get good car shoots
i think its going to be known as "hercs old car" until i get more of an obvious touch on the car. i guess new transmission and coilovers sont make it mine yet haha. i guess ill have to repaint and get a C-west body. as far as clone stamping those stickers out. that was just a practise shoot before i went out to shoot my buddies car. im not going to waste time on the stickers unless i have to later
nice work. I don't have anything new that hasn't been posted though so I can't contribute yet http://carl-s.smugmug.com/
yeah thats his car. hes a buddy of mine. that camaro is amazing to shoot. the orange pops out in every picture. how do you know him?
he graduated from my old highschool- armstrong. i dont personally know him but alot of my friends do so ive talked to him a few times. thats one beautiful ride. he built it from scratch too thats the awesome partt.
ah yeah he did build that thing with his dad. its really nice although he hasnt finished it yet but its only little things like trim and interior stuff. hes been talking about a new engine with a blower for a while now. but i want him to get the wheels hes been looking at because they would look crazy nice in a shoot.
Those are some sexy pics added by HoLsTeR of the cars, smoke and leaves I've been trying to get into photography and sweet vids. What kind of camera do you have? Where would you find such a nice camera? Not Best Buy I would imagine...?
best buy sells dslr's but I would shop locally at either west photo or national camera. online I recommend b&h. you'll probably be looking at either the canon xt (350d) or xti (400d) or the nikon d40 or d40x as the entry level dslr's. Any of those cameras will serve you very well. I shoot on the canon 30d and my backup body is a 300d
B&H for sure. I buy all my stuff through them. I really wish i could post up some of my pictures but last week my hard drive crashed and now i dont have them anymore. Five years of my photography down the drain.
a couple people on here are selling canons... or may be, depending on if they sold yet i guess. also yes best buy, circuit city, target, ect have the basics... but a camera store, like the ones carl mentioned are going to have more options, and used equipment. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22880 http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21298
my camera really isnt all that amazing its just a starter Dslr. its the canon 450d. or otherwise known as the Rebel XTi. its nice for someone who is learning but really the camera doesnt make the photographer. you have to develop your eye. i got my body and kit lense for 450.....WAY less than any retailer like best buy and national camera is FTL IMO. i think they carry amazing product but they arent any better on price as online retailers. buying electronics online is really the only way to go. i saved like 300-400 dollars and the only draw back is i had to wait a week and a half for it to get to my house but oh well. money in DA BANK! on another topic. i think this summer im going to have my camera with me every weekend at firestone and where ever els my crew ends up that night till 3-4am
