Your first job as officers candidates should be to encourage MNSubaru members to join MNSOC and come to the meeting tomorrow night and vote.


FYI- Only the President role has two applicants, the other candidates/positions will probably be elected by default

OFFICER ELECTIONS MAY 22nd​

ONLINE VOTING

MNSOC Members that want to vote ONLINE MUST pay their club dues and fill out the application no later than May 20th @ 11:59PM. Requirement in order to vote ONLINE on May 22nd

ELECTION TIME
MNSOC Members may vote online between 6PM and 10PM by PMing their vote to officervoting There will be a ballot you must use in order for your vote to be valid. Paid members may only vote once. Non-members may not vote.

IN-PERSON VOTING

You may purchase a club membership and receive a card at the meeting.

You must present your MNSOC card in order to vote.


ELECTION TIME
Voting will start at 7PM and end at 9PM.
Paid members may only vote once. Non-members may not vote.

 

The meeting will be held at a new spot this time around. The fine people a Uniselect, the distribution company for Parts Plus have offered up a large meeting room at their offices. As usual for the Thursday meetings it will start at 7pm and run till about 9pm. Refreshments are still up in the air but there is are two Chipotles nearby for post meeting burritos:yumyum: This will be the voting for club "officer" positions so lets have a good turn out!

Personally I can't make it to the meeting that being said I can't enter or vote, I'm not sure why it wasn't done at a meeting that well more of us could attend. Like the meeting that those of us who post on here and participate on here have been planning on going one for 2 months or so now.

because not everyone can attend every meeting.. this meeting has been set for the voting for at least a month now.. I never made the last 2 but i am going tomorrow... I dont see the issue

 

There could be an online ballot (and there are ways to tell if your dues are in) or something of that nature. I still don't see why I have to pay $10 to get a discount on my oil filters.

If you don't want to be part of the club, then don't join. You know what the perks are, it is your choice. From what I understand, the dealerships requested some type of identification for their discount, so sorry, I don't see "Boo hoo, I can't get my discount anymore for free" complaints as being valid. Period.

There is online voting, you just have to be a member and then follow the instructions in Dave's post (PM your vote to the account "officervoting").

Due to the fact that this is the first freaking thing we've done as a club, obviously not all features exist. This is why we are electing officers for the first year, so this stuff can get done, and details can be hammered out.

 

yeah, trying to allow ample time for everyone to come and chat, vote, etc..When we set-up the meeting we honestly thought more people would jump on the candidacy.

so you wanna vote but you dont want to pay for such privileges?? this is exactly why having paid members is important.. to weed out those who are genuinely whining for the benefit of the club as opposed to those who whine to hear themselves!!

I know that this is the first time we have voted and such but it would be nice if the online was anonymous.

Like I said I know this is th first time for this and we will learn as we go. was just something I thought of.

would a thread with a poll on it in the MNSOC section work??? just an idea.

Yup, I got what you're saying.

However, all of these decisions where made at the previous MNSOC meetings, and unfortunately we can't really change much at this point. It's something to discuss again for the next election.

 

Like I said, it just dawned on me and thought I would mention it. all I ask is it is put into consideration for next time.

individual membership cards can be purchased thru WRX1, Prezawagon, or myself. However, I know I will not make it this weekend as I have a suspension job to get done:roll:. Otherwise at least one of us will be there next week.

 

You going to wear your MNSUBARU tee's so we know who you are?
