http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/quebec-to-be-the-first-province-to-ban-hellaflush-1609530923 Pretty funny and can't say I disagree with the sentiment but it seems like it will be really hard to enforce and needs more clarification as to what is "hellaflush." As much as I hate hellaflush, it is a slippery slope and could end up with a complete ban on car modification in general...
If they stick to the definition in this article, than that shouldn't be a problem for most people. Sound like most stancetards will be sh> t out of luck. I would be a little leery about just lowering a vehicle...
Depends on if the police know what the definition means. I can see them pulling over any lowered vehicle for that reason. Or it gives them a reason to pull over lowered cars to see if they are stanced.
this part is a problem: Installing oversized and offset wheels (offset greater than of the stock wheels) Can easily include just wider wheels with an appropriate offset for the additional rubber. Other than that, I'm all for it. They should just say "no more than some-retarded-number degrees of negative camber allowed".
Also need proper sized tire for wheel. I agree the offset and wheel size is a bad criteria. I think they just meant you can't have ridiculous "poke" where your wheels/tires stick out way past the fender.
That too. "more offset than stock" is just plain silly when you're talking about road worthiness and safety. Shouldn't be that hard to setup some guidelines with actual, non-subjective figures. More than say 3.5-4.5 degrees of camber is fairly worthless. Pick a percentage of wheel to tire width that is relatively sane. Done.
They almost got it right. They neglected to make mandatory execution for repeat offenders part of the law.
Ugh. This will probably just encourage other idiots to stance (ruin) their cars because it'll be seen as being 'rebellious'.
That's how it works now. The difference is it will actually start costing them (or more likely their parents) actual money in the form of an idiot tax.
:brofist: I'm in. I'm sure @readymix and @SurlyOldManMN will be on board too. If banning isn't an option, I vote for execution as an alternative.
Hmm. Good point. If you can't fix stupid, might as well tax it. I vote to add windshield decals to the law and anything with the word 'illest'.
Also , you gotta go to Montreal before you say it's boring there is a lot of money there and has some good night life and stuff to do.
Haha well nvmd then. I guess it's just better than most of Canada except Vancouver and Toronto I suppose. I have a few friends from Montreal and they are crazy fun so that might make me biased.
You wanna know what really grinds my gears? People that have to constantly bring age into an arguement! Please stop with the age remarks. That's all I am saying.
All I was pointing out here was there are more fun things to do when you are legal aged. The fun part of the internets is people can assume what ever they want. I have 5 coworkers that are under 21, and that's what we joke about quite often. And the best part is, none of them get butthurt.
It's the only thing you have to say though, fun can be had without drinking etc. If you need to drink to have fun I am sorry for you
Just an FYI I haven't had a drink since I was 19 yrs old Beside that was my only opinion at that time. I will try to be more age sensitive in the future.
The butthurt is strong. Don't like being made fun of for being young? Get older or act older, pretty simple. And it's argument, spell check is there for a reason.
