I dont know why but my car keeps breaking the front driverside caliper. I have now gone through three new calipers. Why is this happening?

the problem is though that the sleeve is breaking open, then brake fluid leaks all over.

well I have never had issues on calipers NON dealership, but if this is the third one you would have saved yourself some $$ and gone original...m maybe it is time to try and if that goes bad you can say even the originals suck... if not..problem solved.. win win

If you have gotten three calipers that all do the same thing I would maybe rule that out. The odds of getting three bad calipers is not that high. How long do they last? Are you replacing the carrier with it?

They have each lasted a little over a month. I do a little spirited driving now and then when it snows but nothing too hard core.

Could you post pics of what cracks? It almost sounds the the knuckle or carrier is bent and causing the caliper to be at a bad angle.
