Some things deserve a 2nd chance while some don't. In this case, cheating, regardless of the situation, shouldn't be given a 2nd chance. As others stated, IF you KNEW that it could potentially happened while drunk, why did you bother doing so anyways? By doing that you are putting your relationship at risk, you should never put your relationship at risk. Getting drunk is NO WHERE as important as the one you love. People make mistakes, but if they get rewarded for their mistakes(taking them back after cheating), they'll keep making the same mistakes. Let them live with the fact that they screwed up and lost a love one so they can carry it onto the next relationship. That way they will learn NOT to cheat(regardless of being drunk or not) again for fear of the same thing happening from the past relationship.

Bottom line of all this is there are second chances but only for certain things, and what people decide to forgive is there own decision, some people get back together after someone cheats and it works, most of the time it doesn't work though. but that's not my cup of tea.

My GF does not get a second chance because when we started going out i told her flat out i will forgive anything but ''CHEATING'' no matter what, it is done, no questions asked if she cheated. since she did it's finnito.
