A driver heading eastbound on 42 jumped the median and came into my lane. I just moved to the right lane going through the intersection and hit him head on at about 35 mph. The guy didn't know where he was or anything. They think he was in a diabetic stooper.
Holy crap! That sucks! Looks like he got over in your lane quite a bit there. Be sure to get checked at the doctor. Head on crashes can be really nasty.

Damn, that had to have hurt. Glad to see you're alright (relatively speaking) and that you were able to walk away. Take it easy for the next few days, because you're going to be really, really sore tomorrow most likely. Do yourself a favor, go get checked out right now and start getting things documented ASAP.
Damn. You walked away from a head on 35mph crash? I hope this doesn't sound bad, but that is fantastic. There are plenty of other cars where you wouldn't be so lucky. The fact that you are here posting right now is a very good thing. Oh, and get to the doctor!

Derek, I was going to tell you that one of your brake lights was out yesterday, today it looks like it does not matter? So are you going to do the buyback? Hope that you and any passengers are okay. They asked me if I needed medical attention. I said "I'm full of adrenaline and don't hurt right now." They basically walked away. I spoke to the cop about a half hour later, I said my neck was starting to hurt. He told me to go to a doctor in the morning and they will ammend the police report. My insurance guy told me to go and use my insurance. I will go in the morning. If I go now and they ask me what hurts, I can tell them. But it may be different in the morning.
Good to hear you're alright. sad to see another of my twins getting smashed up. Definately get that neck checked out, my roommate was in an accident a few years back and still has issues with her neck so do whatever you can to avoid a lingering injury. Sorry bout the car, Be well man.
Go now. The longer you wait to start getting this stuff on the record the more the insurance companies can question you as to your injuries. "If it was that bad why didn't you go that night" is a question I can see coming up. Seriously, go get checked out. The only thing you'll do is help yourself out both in the short and long term. Hell, if you need a ride let me know. I'd rather see you go in for something minor than get denied a claim down the road because you didn't go.

I called the Urgent Care. They said the same thing... You'll hurt more tomorrow. It'll be easier to pin-point the problem. Besides, the MRI and CT scanners are closed tonight. I'd have to go to Burnsville ER, and that may not be necessary. They did say that if it gets worse, go in. Otherwise the morning will be fine. I'll call in on the police report in the morning while I'm waiting.
Man, I'm glad you are mostly ok! I agree, get that stuff checked out and WELL documented! On Saturday, I just about had the same thing happen to me, but it was a sideways, oncoming Honda in my lane and I stuck the rear of the car into the ditch while sliding sideways to avoid him. That had to be an extremely hard hit!
Hopefully you can pull through it. I have no experience with accidental claims but you'll need an attorney if you haven't called one up yet. Sue for all initial and possible medical damages you'll incur.

So how are You feeling this AM? We just went thru this, My Wife was was rear ended @ 50 MPH by a 17 YO texting while driving. Both parties were insured thru Allstate. So nothing was properly contested by an opposing Ins company Make sure You get signed Documents for EVERYTHING! They'll try and low ball You on Your car, also. The adjusters actually stoop as low as measuring tire depth, to determine a lower replacement cost. I fought with them over this, as it was just about time to put the Blizzaks on. If I didn't buy a car with the same sized tires, the Blizzaks are worthless, to Me. You might as well start looking for a fair market value now. So Your prepared to argue the replacement price. They'll prolly want to lump in all Impreza's into the Market value. As stated, get to the hospital ASAP. Hope all goes well.
